This quiet small hotel is an ideal place to relax and explore eastern Sicily. As it is located not far from the towns at Taormina and Giardini Naxos, it is easy to reach the beaches there. It is good place to go on tours of Mount Etna, the excellent hosts can arrange day trips if necessary. There is a nice... More

Very nice hotel and very quite. Pity we did not have dinner here as breakfast was excellent. We even had freshly squeezed oranges from the orange tress surrounding the place. Staff very helpful and it is only a few minutes by car to go to the Gorge.

Just arrived home this morning from a long weekend in Sicily staying at the beautiful Casale Romano. Firstly, 4 days is nowhere near long enough! Secondly, this place is an absolute gem and it was a total pleasure to stay there. From the minute we rolled up the gravel driveway to park the car under the shade of the baby... More

Casale Romano is a wonderful location for a holiday. The accommodation is great and the dining is superb with the freshest possible ingredients cooked in the traditional Sicilian way, a very good wine list and, of course, attentive service throughout, particularly from the owners who take the trouble to explain (in a variety of languages!) not only what is on... The resort is quiet, spacious and comfortable, with pool, spa and honesty bar. The owners will also cook a meal for the guests using fresh food bought each day and serving up a delicious Sicilian menu for a very reasonable price. The breakfast is also along the same lines, with freshly baked cakes and a good selection of traditional breakfast... More

Ideal to relax and enjoy vacation. The place is quiet but you reach all highlights in the sorroundings in a short time. Dinner is delicious and all products are locally produced. You should try all local specialities. Best season April and September October. A car is a must !

Nice country hotel with very friendly owners and staff. Good base for exploring Etna, Taormina and east Sicily. Owners give useful advice on the area and provide good local food with information on ingredients and preparation. Nice pool, good food and wine. Honesty bar. Good stuff at good price!

Definitely recommended for the excellent quality/price ratio, friendly owners and helpful staff, the location is very good in order to do various outdoor activities like walking the Alcantara Gorges, quad bike, horse riding and visiting the nearby villages. Make sure that you have dinner there and let them please you with a good meal that will fill you up with... More

This is a fantastic, small, family run, hotel and an ideal place from which to explore eastern Sicily. The room was first rate, the setting delightful and the pool a wonderful place to cool off after a walk up Etna or round the Alcantara gorge. The family were exceptionally helpful; one of our party required medical treatment during our stay... More

The romano family is very friendly and their casale romano has nice rooms, a great pool and their kitchen is better than several restaurants in the area. If you have a rental car and want to mix little trips with relaxing by the pool this is the place to book.
