Villa Artemide is a lovely bed and breakfast located outside Piazza Armerina and withing walking distance to Villa Romana del Casale. Giuseppe is a perfect host and the place is on a serene hillside overlooking wooded hills around it. It is beautiful, relaxing and comfortable. I highly recommended it.

I was there in the off season, but I got the full hospitality treatment from Giuseppe. If the hotel had only its one-of-a-kind location near Villa Romana, that would make it stand out. But it is relaxing, very comfortable, and perhaps the finest breakfast for its price in all of Sicily. Because it is not in town, you have to... More

Giuseppe and his 2 lovely dogs made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived at this beautiful place. Giuseppe offered a bottle of local wine for me to enjoy on the terrace looking over the valley. It was an easy 20 minute walk to the Villa Romana del Casale, which was welcome as I was tired of driving... More

We stayed for 2 nights in order to get an early start at the Roman Villa before the tour buses started flowing in. This worked well as we walked to the site and had an hour's start on them. But the Villa Artemide would also be a good base for touring central Sicily. It is located in a very quiet,... More

Giuseppe gave us a warm welcome and is very helpfull and made us feel at home. The B & B, our room and the sanitary is clean. You can sleep in peace. The breakfast is very nice, and the view from the room and terras is amazing. It is very close to Villa Romana. The 2 dogs are a nice... More

We stayed here (fortunately) for 1 night. Upon arrival we were shown to our room by an italian lady which did not speak one word english so there was no communication at all. Giuseppe from the B&B was not there and we did not see him. At breakfast, which was very poor, a man came up to us and requested... More

The place has a very convenient location between Villa Romana and Piazza Armerina. The owner Giuseppe contacted us in advance with useful tips and directions. Our rooms were pre-heated (6 degrees outside). There is a nice homemade breakfast with special cookies, delicious. There is a beautiful garden too, for better weather.

1. Villa Artemide is expensive for the facilities provided, which are poor. Both on our arrival in the evening and the following morning the hot water in the shower and wash basin was tepid. It was impossible to wash oneself properly. 2.The heating in the bedroom was inadequate - it was a cold night. 3.There was limited choice provided for... More

I would not recommend staying at this bed and breakfast. The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast was not up to scratch. The bathroom was not clean. Definitely not good value for money. I shall not be returning.

This newly built B & B is ideally located if visiting the Villa UNESCO site and Piazza Armerina. Giuseppe is welcoming to his residence, along with his two dogs. Eclectically decorated, the rooms are comfortable. We enjoyed sipping wine with Giuseppe by the fireplace in the living room. A simple breakfast is offered.
