Probably the best experience in a long time... the villa is set next to a real medieval village. the villa offfers 13 rooms, superb service, unforgettable food (dinner and breakfast) and you will feel as if you are royalty. very fair rates, great staff!

We arrived here after a day in Syracuse; given its somewhat remote location we opted for the dinner (8 pm sharp - one sitting). Our bedroom was comfortable; there were the usual animal noises (outside, not in the villa :-) ), but nothing that disturbed a good night's reast. The dinner was 5 or so courses, kind of heavy handed... More

The team of beautiful young women who run the villa are charming and do a great job of making running a country inn look easy and relaxed. We arrived mid-afternoon hungry. They sat us down under the trees in the courtyard and within minutes produced an unplanned but delightful snacky lunch. They are helped by the most obliging Hamid, an... More

It is very well looked after hotel, makes you feel like you are staying at some wealthy sicilian family house as a guest, so having dinner there is a must. It is very good and takes 2 hours from starter to desert, all from local products and so tasty. Breakfast wonderfull, you can have them outside with the wiews to... More

My husband and I have just returned from spending a night at the Villa Trigona. We were greeted with a friendly smile, a cup of coffee and freshly baked cookies that were still warm. The villa is very rustic, in a country setting, a family owned business. Our room on the main floor was very clean and spacious. The room... More

this is no ordinary villa. Lots of history in super location, quiet yet close to amenities. The weather was superb even in October so could use the pool. The staff made us welcome and whenever we asked for a cup of tea or a glass of wine we were served at all times of the day. We ate their dinner... More

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights as a family party of three adults attending a friend wedding in the Sicilian heartland. From the moment we arrived we were met with personal and attentive service. All the staff were welcoming and kind, even changing one of our rooms to a ground floor room to help with my mother's recently operated... More

We stayed 2 nights with our family of 6 - two parents and children ranging from 22 to 8. The room were clean and a little old fashioned but in a nice way. While the furniture was more 'brown', the bathrooms were clean, the windows had been redone and the walls painted recently. We stayed in two 'superior' rooms. One... More

Villa Trigona has the charm that one associates with an old-fashioned house in the country. The villa has older furniture, some of it (eg our chest of drawers) not working well, and our bed was not as comfortable as usual. But the furnishings and the trinkets all round the house gave it a real feel of the family home of... More

During a 6 week trip to the boot of Italy and Sicily, we decided to include staying at a farm property and chose Villa Trigona. What a wonderful choice! The Villa is easy to find - just follow the well organised signs once you reach Piazza Armerina. The house is historic and charming overlooking olive groves. It has a lovely... More
