Loved it here. Fantastically friendly owners and staff, lovely country-style rooms, very green surroundings and, crucially for me, food was delicious and plentiful! A great base to go and see the ancient mosaics (by car) and also if you want a central base for Catania, Ragusa and Syracusa. A thoroughly enjoyable stay - they just need to keep their beer... More

Four of us stayed at the Villa Trigona. Rooms were clean, spacious and reasonably priced. The grounds of the place are small but large enough for a wander round, and quite varied and peaceful. The villa is near enough to Roman mosaics and town, but seems like it's out in the countryside. Staff members, especially the very kind and helpful... More

Pros: Location, friendly, helpful staff, nice pool, pleasant atmosphere of the villa. Cons: In our room the bed was directly next to the door and we had window overlooking the breakfast/dinner area, so it was not relay relaxing for us to stay in this room. The rooms are very poorly firnished (uncomfortable furnitures) and dark. The small bathroom needs renovation.... More

I stayed in this country resort with my wife and my son for a couple of nights. We got there at midday and we were informed by the receptionist, in a cold and indifferent way, our check-in should be expected not before 15:00/15:30 p.m. (it means absolutely later than indicated on their web-site). However, I waited for three hours and... More

We stayed for 1 night so that we could get an early start to Piazza Armeria and the location was perfect. This is a charming place with lovely grounds, good food served on the patio and a great pool. In the July heat it was perfect for an afternoon early evening relaxing spot. The room was fine with air conditioning and... More

This was my second visit and I noticed many improvements, The staff however are still the same, welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Food excellent as usual.Peaceful,calm,beautiful. Spacious a/c bedrooms. The outside area has been landscaped, especially around the pool area and there are more vines and fig trees. It is difficult to describe why I like the Villa Trigona so much, but... A wonderful intimate bed and breakfast. The staff could not have been more pleasant. The room was cool and charming and the whole place full of character. Breakfast was superb and dinner sublime, dining al fresco in the lovely canopied area. Pool was most welcome after a long drive. Awoke refreshed in readiness for the magnificent Villa Romana.

We decided to book a couple of nights at the end of a drive around Sicily, and we were not disappointed. From the friendliness of the staff upon arrival, through to the cleanliness of the rooms, the beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, peace and quiet and great pool area. The staff cannot do enough to help you, with information, help and... More

We chose Villa Trigona as it was at the centre of the area we wanted to visit, and seemed to have the best ratings. We stayed for two nights and, in almost all respects was excellent. In particulat the location is superb: walking around the grounds as the sun is rising is a wonderful experience. The front office and restaurant... More

We stayed at the Villa Trigona for 2 nights in April 2013 and enjoyed it very much . The town is both interesting in itself and is a very good base for the surrounding area and the key sights of the Villa Romana etc. Very easy to find and comfortable accomodation with english speaking hosts . A delicious dinner ,... More
