We stopped off here for a few nights on our way back from Corsica to Switzerland, and were so glad we did. Waking up to the sound of the bells pealing in the morning was magical and the smell of jasmine walking through the entrance after a day exploring the cinque terre was perfect. The room was far nicer than... More

If you are looking for a unique place to enjoy the beauty and culture of Cinque Terra, you must go to LaSosta d'Ottone. The inn is tucked away in the beautiful hills overlooking the sea. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The staff is exceptional and make you feel welcome and relaxed. They helped us plan our day, recommended... More

Perfect for a romantic stay - this wonderfully restored old Italian house is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful landscape with sea view and offers luxurious rooms. You can buy some good wine, specially selected by the owner. Very nice and helpful staff. Only the breakfast is not worth the price.

If you are young and not bothered by the remoteness, difficulty in finding the hotel, inadequate (or worse) air conditioning, but want a view of the Mediterranean, beautiful bathrooms, attractive rooms (not large but adequate), this may be the trip for you. The inn is close to the Cinqua Terre . But you must (underlined) have a car. Food and... More

We spent three nights at La Sosta during a recent vacation in Northern Italy. Our reason for choosing this inn was its proximity to the Cinque Terre. La Sosta is in a very convenient location for those with a car. You can be in Monterosso al Mare (the first of the Cinque Terre towns coming from the north) or the... More

When I learned about this hotel through my friends at JDBhotels.com, I thought they must be engaged in hyperbole or at least we exaggerating. Having stayed for a few days, I can assure you it was every bit as beautiful and relaxing as I was led to believe. There is a bing cherry tree, if you are lucky to be... More

La Sosta is a real haven. Beautiful, secluded, views are incredible and the service is really excellent - the family know the area and advise on trips, restaurants, beaches, activities etc in a way we found very helpful. Access is via a leafy lane from the windy road down to Levanto but once you get there you can really relax... More

La Sosta is delightful if difficult to reach. I called as we made our way there on Sunday afternoon to say we might be a little late, as they normally close the office at 18h00 (we made it by 18h15). After following the directions, which probably couldn't be written much better but read like a scavenger hunt ("This parking space... More

My wife and I just spent 5 nights with our 3 children (4,4,7) in this very special, quiet and small hotel in the hills just 5 minutes by car from the see with the most wonderful view over the see/landscape. If you are looking for a hotel with 24 h pool service and nightlife don't visit this place but if... More

Our Virtuoso travel agent selected this charming, historic small hotel for our stay in the Cinque Terre region. We found the hotel and its owners a welcome change from the hustle, bustle of the larger Italian cities. We were warmly welcomed, treated like family, and treated to wonderful breakfasts and a gourmet dinner for two complete with an excellent wine... More
