This hotel is an excellent location and caters to an American palate. Rooms were clean and had wonderful character. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel. It is a couple of blocks from the beach and boardwalk and many good restaurants. A short walk from the train station, about 10 minutes but I would recommend... More

We stayed one night here. The beds were really comfortable and the linen was good quality. Our bathroom was small but cleverly designed, and more than adequate. Everything was very clean. The owners or managers were warm and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The lounge where wifi was available was very comfortable. The (small, charming) town is right at your fingertips,... More

Caught the train from Rome and even though Hotel was an easy 10min walk we decided to pay the 10 Euro flat rate for the taxi rather than drag our bags. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room, although small, was more than adequate for our 3 night stay. Beds were great and room very clean. Read other reviews... More

Hotel Nazionale was an easy walk down the small hill from the train station, with directional signs for local hotels guiding the way once into town. The two huge palm trees out front were a nice greeting after the train ride. These lovely trees are a highlight of the hotel's business cards and brochures and an easy way to spot... More

Stayed 3 nights, room was very clean & tidy. Shower cubicle very small as per most European hotels. Breakfast was the usual buffet stuff you expect, no better, no worse than anywhere else. Wouldn't win any awards, but did the job until lunch. Wifi only available on ground floor lounge area, which is a pain when you are staying on... More

We used the Nazionale as our base for a three day stay in Cinque Terre. We had a small room with a shower so tiny that whenever you moved you would hit the shower controls and it would turn off. Even a stick person would have bee crowded! The walls of the room were so thin that we could hear... More

This place was not that great, at all. We paid a pretty penny and it was pretty much strictly for its location and lack of ample guest rooms in the area. Design and decor is quite ugly. The bed was super old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny and awkward. Staff was friendly and the place was clean and the... More

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Nazionale in Levanto. The hotel is very clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. They suggested restaurants in Levanto as well as offered tips and tricks to explore Cinque Terre. The location is excellent, it's an easy 10 minute walk from the train station and minutes from the beach. The hotel has bikes... More

Sadly, this is a case where on-line ratings can be misleading. The booking agency, Venere has a published rating on 8+ and I would not give it a 5. Good points: the hotel is clean and tidy. Problem areas (significant). No AIR CONDITIONING. The hotel rooms are not air conditioned and very uncomfortable- open windows results in a very significant... More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in May - really lovely and would definitely stay here again! The hotel is right in the centre of Lavento and just a 10min walk to the railway station - perfect! Our room was 308 and had a lovely balcony which made all the difference! The roof garden looked very appealing but... More
