The Good The only reason I'd recommend this hotel for others to stay in is because of its location, which is very close to the beach and about a 20 minute walk to the train station. The receptionist we met on our arrival was incredibly nice and very very helpful, she gave us lots of useful information about the region,... More

We had 6 weeks in Italy and this hotel was without doubt the best experience we had. Firstly, the hotel itself was an old world style with beautifully painted ceilings and wonderful period furniture. The inside breakfast area felt like you were breakfasting in a different world than Levanto. It had a wonderfully casual atmosphere yet at the same time... More

Levantos a funny little town really, but this hotel was an oasis for 2 nights. We used it as a base for the Cinque Terre, and had 2 very good meals - La Loggia and Da Rino. Lovely painted ceilings and comfortable and clean. Lovely staff and good breakfast. Cant fault it at all. Recommended

This place was really wonderful. The old painted ceilings and walls were just marvellous. It was a friendly welcome, and parking was available. It was well located for the Cinque Terre, and I think actually better than staying in one of those 5 towns. Levanto itself was very nice, though the beach was not to my taste, having grown up... Hotel Stella Maris was a wonderful stay. It was was central to everything in Levanto. Including the ferry to the other Cinque Terre towns. It is only a few minutes walk to beach. Many restaurants available in the area as well. Their breakfast was one of the better ones on our trip. Eggs made to order every morning, but a... More

Great place to stay. Lovely rooms with good breakfast. There is a really good pub not far away also that sells a good range of brews. Wifi could be picked up in our room which was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect. Short walk to shops of all types, restaurants and pubs, the beach and train station. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights while we explored the 5 Terre. Perfect home base! The inside was like being in an art museum. The decor was so cool! We were not expecting such and opulent and ornate environment:-)... More

Brilliant, character filled hotel in a quiet 18th century palazzo. Only occupies one floor, so small number of rooms adds to the cosynesss. Family run, all of them lovely, especially Sonia on reception. The resident dog - Arnold - is adorable (and sadly blind). The rooms are superbly decorated with frescoes painted on the walls and the beds are comfortable.... More

Visited Levanto about 12 years ago, and returned because we were so charmed by this part of Italy. Stayed here then, too. A beautiful fully restored baroque mansion, with artistry on the ceilings, great food, etc., etc. Adorable little city to wander both day and night, and a really nice beach. Can also catch the train to Cinqueterre if you'd... More

This is the second visit in two years in Levanto. We stayed room 3 just in front of the kitchen(room 4 is next room as well). Until the late night time, grill smell in the room cause of the poor ventilation. Also room AC is fixed to 21 so not adjustable. No cordless wife in the room. Breakfast is also... More
