Fantastic little B & B that's in a lovely little town Levanto just out of Cinque Terra. Great access to train and a few minutes to Monterossa. Villa gentile is small with only a few rooms but so well positioned to the train, cafes, beaches and restaurants. They serve breakfast in a gorgeous courtyard which adds to the wonderful experience... More

Our two couples spent two nights in two double rooms that were quite reasonably priced, including breakfast. We appreciated the Villa greatly: the less than 10-minute walk from the station; the surrounding flowers; breakfasts at the one table in the garden in back (being there when they started serving;) the charming town of Levanto; the owner's daughter who speaks English;... I recently stayed at the hotel Villa Gentile, it matched my needs for a close location to the beach and station as well as my budget which was 80 euro per night. On arrival, I assume that it is the owner: she can't speak any English, which is surprising seeing as she is in the hospitality industry and many guests... More

We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely hotel in the heart of Levanto. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room on the first floor opened into a common lounge area which included a fridge where we kept odds and ends for our lunches. Hotel is perfectly situated. 10 minutes from the station and Cinque Terre towns. Close... More

I don't really want to share this little gem, but Villa Gentile is quite a find in the town of Levanto. Sweet garden courtyard, complete with koi and turtle named Tranquilo, the ladies of Gentile will ensure that you are comfortable in the clean, nicely decorated rooms. Beds are comfy, towels thin but clean every day. Nice tall windows that... More

Very well located in the centre of Levanto with a short walk to the beach which was fantastic. We were with another couple and had a room each and shared a bathroom. There was no lift which was not great. The breakfast consisted of bread, croisssants and coffee. The Villa Gentile was in a lovely setting and given where it... More

My wife and I stayed there in early May 2012. We had a double room with adjacent bathroom on the ground floor. The street was right outside our window, but we were able to let fresh air in and keep the noise out by lowering the security shutter. My wife declared the bed to be the most comfortable she had... I stayed here in April 2012 and paid 90 euros per night for a comfortable double room. Breakfast was not included although I was told in English that it was, when I booked by email. The owner refused to consider this when I presented the email and showed me the notice on the door of the room where it clearly... More

The unfortunate misunderstanding can be easily clarified, the actual price is 90 euros without breakfast, our guests have paid the same price with breakfast included as agreed by the mail saying precisely 90 euros incl. breakfast ( so 10% discount ) then the discount has already been applied and please gentlemen who are in possession of a driving routarde let... This hotel was very clean and had pleasant surroundings. Reasonably priced- winter rates E 70 including packet breakfast and free parking. It was very cold though- we were there in the winter 2012. The one thing we found upsetting was that the Cinque Terre website does not alert potential travellers to the fact that 90% of the walkways are closed... More
