We stayed for one week in this charming, "english-style"-hotel, which is located very close to the center of Forio. From the nice pool area there's a great view on the Epomeo Mountain and you can also see a close medieval tower. They have also a indoor jacuzzi and a indoor termal-pool. Our room was clean, quiet and very comfy. The... more

Was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel after reading some less than complimentary reviews before going! The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and very helpful - especially the bar and restaurant staff. The room was fairly basic (after all it is a three star hotel!) but had everything one would want or need - the only draw back... more

As I type this review on a cold, wet and windy September day in England,I can't help but wish myself back in the glorious Ischian sunshine. The Hotel Byron was fine, despite some of the less than favourable reviews on this site. Rooms were fairly basic but were cleaned regularly. The air conditioning was efficient and there was plenty of hot... more

Have just returned from a wonderful week at the Lord Byron Hotel. The setting is in very pretty grounds, and not noisy at all. My room was lovely and spacious, with a balcony, overlooking the swimming pool and with fabulous views of the mountains. The staff were delightful, especially Daniella on the front desk, Enzo the head waiter and all... more

Have just returned from the Lord Byron and had a relaxing, comfortable holiday and met a really lovely group of people. Booked through Solitair and the transfers were managed very efficiently. I was a bit concerned about the food having read reviews prior to my holiday but was really pleased - the food was really good lots of excellent pasta... more

I have just returned from a holiday at the Lord Byron Hotel, booked through Solitaire. Having read some of the reviews prior to this holiday, I was concerned that perhaps I had made a bad choice. I need not have worried. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food was very, very good. (Naturally, you do have to... more

I would agree with comments that the hotel food is not good. The hotel is ok, 3 star as advertised. The solitair rep is non existant and forget about any supoort or help from their manchester office if you have a compliant, Solitair could not care less, once they have your money. more

My husband and I have recently returned from an extremely relaxing holiday at the Lord Byron Hotel. Whilst it is true that the food could be improved, it is difficult to see why this hotel has attracted such negative responses from some holidaymakers. The hotel is small but has excellent facilities for a 3* hotel. We particularly enjoyed taking advantage... more

Hotel Lord Byron has many aspects which deserve the 3* rating but there is no doubt that it is let down by the quality of the food, particularly the evening meal. However, I have noticed that this is a "feature" of many hotels in Italy, which is hard to fathom given that local restaurants manage to provide excellent food and... more

I booked a one week holiday with Solitair, to Ischia. We arrived after midnight to the hotel. Tired and hungry we were offered the mornings continental breakfast cheese, stale bread and ham, and orange juice. My bedroom was on the basement floor a few doors away from the kitchen and dining area. The air conditioning did not work , the... more
