Fabulous views, comfortable bed, spacious room and our own veranda. The gardens and swimming pool are well kept and very attractive. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of pastries, breads, fresh fruit and cold meats. The coffee, however, was awful and after the first day we avoided it altogether. WE were surprised to find that although the room... More

Located in a the small medieval village of Corpo di Cava, the hotel, founded in 1821 and owned and managed by the same family, met almost all of our expectations. Our superior room on the upper floor was nicely decorated in a traditional style. It has an East facing balcony with long views over the hills and, on clear days... More

For a four star rated hotel, we felt that Hotel Scapolatiello did not quite meet our expectations. Even though we stayed in one of the self-catering two bedroom apartments, we would still expect four star standards if that is how the hotel promotes itself. I am not sure if the rooms within the hotel itself are any better. The beds... More

We had a three day break here and it was absolutely stunning. The views were to die for. The Hotel was typical Italian style which was really nice. Our room was excellent and there was a lot of attention to detail. For instance the bed was so comfortable and the bed linen was quite luxurious along with the bathroom linen.... More

We visited this hotel as part of a group. On arrival our bags were taken to the room which was on the first floor. The room (122) was clean and tidy although in need of a little modernisation. There was a decent bath and shower but the highlight was the amazing views from the large private terrace (photo attached) which... More

My son and I stayed here and had the best time. It is a little hard to find but well worth it. The village is just stunning and we had a great walk around it. The room was just fine. The best thing about this Hotel is the food and the staff. The staff went out of their way to... More

Our experience was wonderful!! We stayed 3days 2nights there with our dog and cat. The hotel is owned by a family (5th generation) and its decoration and artistic touch is outstanding! We got a suit for a pretty decent price and had direct access to a balcony with an amazing view. The room was beautiful and the lightening made it... More

This hotel was a true "find". We stayed 7 noights. Having stayed all over the world. we rate this hotel was the very best value. It is an old (1821) once-luxurious hotel with beautiful terrace gardens, and a spectacular hillside location in the 1,000 year old village of Corpo Di Cava. We wanted a quiet walking vacation. No guided tours, no... More

This hotel is beautiful in a little fanciful town. Rooms and buildings were very clean and comfortable. The grounds are very pretty and he scenery is spectacular. It is very romantic and would be so lovely for a wedding. The staff here go above and beyond to be helpful and courteous. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Highly recommend this hotel

A true find. In the most remote off the beaten path location but gorgeous. Great views, fantastic tasting but beyond reasonably priced food. Definitely worth a visit but must have sat nav to find it! Make sure car is narrow some very small roads.
