We spent four nights in this excellent hotel at the beginning of winter. We have been well treated wherever we have stayed in Italy but this was particularly enjoyable. The important thing is to expect an authentic stay in a 100 year old hotel in a mountain village. If you wish the cocoon of a Holiday Inn style accommodation then... More

The moment we arrived, we wanted to leave... our room was dirty. We booked the hotel through venere.com based on their reviews and I see now the reviews aren't so bad here either. Unfortunately our bathroom was filthy and for the amount of money spent for the evening, it could of been cleaner. There was someone else's hair on the... More

This is a wonderful gem of a hotel located in a small mountain village near the Amalfi Coast. Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable, with most rooms having nice views of the surrounding mountains. We stayed here as a part of an organized walking tours. The hotel also has a very good restaurant where we had two of our dinners.... More

Stayed at this friendly family-run hotel or 2nights as part of a hiking tour, otherwise we would not have found it. From the time our group checked in it was obvious that this was something special. We ate in the restaurant both nights and found the food very special. We were given a choice of a couple of dishes which... More

I enjoyed the hospitality of the family who own this very comfortable hotel. The room was very comfortable with very efficient housekeeping. The staff/family at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, even to giving lifts to the start of the walks. Local transport is very close and inexpensive to travel to Amalfi. The restaurant is large with a great view,... More

I was booked at this place in San Lazzaro by Macs Adventure travel as part of a 7 day Amalfi coast hike. Otherwise, I'd have never been in this town, much less this hotel. The town is located up in the hills of the Amalfi region and is not a tourist destination, by and large. However, if you're up this... More

This hotel provided a very convenient base for walking days and exploration of some of the famous trails and towns of the Amalfi area. This is a glorious area which we enjoyed immensely. Local bus services pass the door providing relatively easy access to and from towns in the area and therefore facilitating walking trips [Pathway of the Gods etc]... More

This family run establishment is ideal at the end of a long day's travel. The large restaurant and lounge provides a good choice of delicious food in a comfortable and friendly environment. The staff are only too happy to help with out of the ordinary requests. My wife needed some painkillers and one of the family drove me to the pharmacy... More

This comment is strictly about the restaurant because we never stayed at the hotel. I must say that this place had fantastic food, some of the best calamari I've ever tasted, the porcini pasta to die for. Most of the produce is handpicked from their gardens and the mushrooms picked wild in the forest. The fragolino, a sort of strawberry... More
