We arrived in Naxos without having pre booked accomodation. Stavros was at the port and we agreed to go with him to view Irene II. We were picked up at the dock and taken through the back streets of the town and shown several things to do and see during our stay. Complementary Ice cream and figs on arrival from the wonderful Irene herself (as the pension is named after), lovely room with balcony and kitchen, away from the more touristy part of the town... more

We stayed at Irene 2 on Naxos while island hopping. It was by far the best pension we found on our whole trip. A great place to stay - room was excellent value, clean and well located - the pool was fab. The location is convenient for both the town and the beach. The mother who looks after the place was charming and very helpful - could not do any more for us. more
