I loved our stay here. Great room, nice bed and pillows, great towels, large bathroom, wonderful breakfast (best of the trip) and the location was perfect. Parking lot is down the street. Only complaint was we had to keep our windows closed because of the street noise. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights in October 2013. It was the most relaxing, enjoyable portion of our trip. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom was so cheery with the fluffy yellow towels, etc. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the street and wish we had had more time to enjoy it. Many people have mentioned the train noise in... More

This restaurant is definitely worth visiting. The dining room is full of character, and typically rustic German. The food is very good indeed, and the waitress loved to explain exactly what we eating, recommending dishes and appropriate wines to accompany the meals.

We stayed here for one night while in Bacharach touring the Rhine Valley. It is in the very center of main street, a lovely and charming half timbered building so fitting in this quaint town. We had room #11 on the second floor, a spacious triple room, with a small balcony facing the front of the hotel and the main... More

We stayed here in September for two nights. Of several excellent hotels during a six-week trip in four countries, this was our favourite. You couldn't ask for a better location: right on the main square, many shops within a few meters, convenient for Rhein cruises and for public transportation. The family who run this hotel are friendly and very helpful.... More

Lovely half-timbered hotel in excellent condition. We stayed in a 2nd floor corner bridal room with a balcony and view of the Alte Haus and Marktplatz. Great way to experience a medieval village on the Rhine River. We took the steps behind the church and hiked up to the Stahleck Castle with fabulous views of the Rhine River valley and... More

As others have said, the location is perfect (a 7-8 minute walk from the train). Historic building well maintained. Our room was on the top floor (under the eves) and was very clean and updated. Combined with a wonderful European buffet breakfast in the price, this may have been the bargain of our trip (89 euros on Bookings.com). Great place... More

We stayed on the second floor in a room with a balcony and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are a little dated, but are very comfortable and clean. They also provide free parking within an easy walk of the hotel. Be warned everything closes early and you will be locked out of the hotel. However, they provide you with a... More

Stayed on the third floor in a 3 person suite and, due to warmer than average temperature, we were glad to have the cross breeze from main bedroom to the next (no a/c). Most of the front office staff spoke enough English to help us adjust. Overall service was cordial and efficient. Only downside was size of bathroom and, if... More

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our holiday. The position is very good and handy to the train station and boat dock. The room is small for two people with suitcases, but very clean and the balcony was a good size with a table and chairs. We ate one night in the restaurant outside under umbrellas... More
