Although this modern five-story hotel is right next to I-64, it is located in its own pleasant little park so you feel sheltered from the bustle. The entry lobby is quite attractive and the staff is friendly and helpful, cheerfully offering tips on nearby restaurants and directions to area museums. My room was on the small side but very clean... more

Stayed for one night while in the area to attend a concert. We got a great rate and were therefore pleasantly surprised to find that the room was one of the nicest we've experienced in a while. Everything was immaculately clean and very comfortable. At check-in, the very friendly staff gave us cards for free breakfast and a free drink... more

We arrived at 9:55 pm after a trans-Atlantic flight, plus very late connection. Just in time for the bar!! Reception was great, room was great, bar staff was great and breakfast was great. We paid $120 + tax and we moved because we found better deals elsewhere for a long stay, but price was the only reason for moving. more

We have now stayed in this hotel for the 3rd time and it continues to be above excellance. While there last year a close relative passed away and we brought family in to stay. The manager and staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. They even gave us a sympathy card. The hotel is extremely clean,... more

Breakfast was the best at ANY Holiday Inn and perhaps any hotel we have been in (below $200/night). Pool was warm and toasty. Staff was very friendly. Room and hotel were spotless and nice. Well done, folks! more

2nd time my family stayed here for my son's swim meet at Fort Eustis. Staff was very helpful (except for last night when asked for extra pillows and security guard delivering them was a little snarky). Used priority points and was upgraded to a suite which was perfect for 2 kids on pull-out and my husband and I on king... more

Booked through Travelocity, we were anticipating problems, but to our thrill, when we checked in, David, was so super nice and even upgraded our room to a suite! He also threw in 3 breakfasts for us and we were so very happy! The room was awesome although on the highway side of the building, but we didn't hear anything with... more

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is clean and my room was excellent. We stayed from July 13 to July 15. My only problem is that they need air conditioning or ventilation in the elevator. The hotel only has one entrance and exit which made me feel secure. more

I'm in the Hampton Road's area every week for work and this hotel is by far my favorite in the area.. The staff is great in the hotel and their restaurant "Barclay's".. As a Priority Club Rewards Gold member I was treated extra special, my check-in/out were both very pleasant.. I was given coupons for a drink that night and... more
