The hotel area in my opinion was not as rough as some people thought however there are a few people who call the hotel home and they can look a little rough. Inside the room is where the nasty begins. To start me and the wife chose this hotel due to our dogs and trying to save a little money.... More

The location is nice, right next to the interstate. A lot of sketchy stuff has gone on at this location. Google it and crime, inform yourself before you stay here. A man's body was found the week of 8/11/14 next to the hotel and it's not the 1st. I need some more characters , so go to the NN police... More

I've never ever had a problem with a motel before this one. This motel has me scared to ever sleep in another motel again. I was put in room 308. When I walked in, the room smelled musty. There was long hair on the "clean" towels. I was okay with both of those things since I did, in fact, only... More

I stayed over a single weekend night in early May with a friend. There were a fair number of people in the model- lots of truckers from the looks of it, and we didn't have any trouble with people lurking out in the lot. The room could have used a bit of work, but everything was functional. Wi-fi worked, and... More

this inn is convenient to the interstate highway and busy rt. 17. it's been a knights inn before. when you book motel 6 you don't expect hilton standards so you won't be disappointed here. no room amenities; pool out of order; some questionable traffic in and out but i'd stay there again if traveling alone. the front desk people should... Over the years we have stayed at this hotel, because we have pets. I have to say this was the worst stay at any hotel we have ever had. When we arrived to our room, we noticed some shady people hanging out in the parking lot, and where we had been driving for over 5 hours we just wanted to... More

My husband and I were trying to find a place to live in Newport News with our five month old daughter so we were staying here for a month! We paid the weekly rates! The cleaning people would knock once and open or try to open the door! When they come in they would hand you the stuff and look... More

I have stayed at the motel 6 before but this was just ridiculous. First the AC didnt want to come on, then room smelled, and there was a big hole in the wall, the bathroom was just nasty, the carpet was just dirty. When I asked to change rooms I was told because, I wanted smoking this is what they... More

Although they boast about free wifi and clean rooms, they provide neither. The front desk staff insisted that their router was next to my room but I still wasn't able to connect. Then they asked me to bring my laptop to the front desk and still I was unable to get connected. To make a long story short their router... More

They must have done major clean up. Both times we were there in two different rooms the rooms were clean. Non-smoking room was just that. When you pay the price they are asking for don't expect a Five Star. The staff are very friendly and helpful. These other reports were obviously written before they did the improvements. We would stay... More
