We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a recent short tour of Germany - it was, quite simply, the best decision we could have made. The room itself was large, airy, spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious with excellent views over the surrounding area from its balcony. Breakfast was massively varied, beautifully laid out and the small name... More

All of the hotel staff were friendly. The gentleman in the morning was extremely friendly and helpful; he asked what our plan was for the day and then gave suggestions. Although in a very small town, the hotel was in a good location for day trips in various directions. We had two large rooms, both with a couch; one room... More

We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip around Europe. The hotel is very old with lots of lovely features. Our room was large and had everything you would require for a couple of nights stay. Not luxury, but well worth the price charged. The best part of our stay was the restaurant where we ate both nights... More

The hotel is a picture postcard Black Forest hotel, just off the main road from Waldkich to Elzach. The staff are very welcoming and speak English. Our room (23) was excellent and very clean with satellite TV and comfy firm beds. The bathroom was OK but the shower had a broken fitting and the sealant round the tray was in... More

We were not sure what to expect but ended up with what we hoped for: a true German inn off the beaten path in a quaint, picture-perfect historic building. Complete with low beamed roofs and dark wood trim, this was a real treat. Do not miss the restaurant: it was unexpectedly terrific, as was the included free breakfast which featured... More

A quaint and beautiful hotel, straight out of a fairytale. With absolutely no compromise to amenities and comfort. With amazing, multitasking staff that includes the owner and her family. We were four of us on a family holiday in two rooms. Both tastefully done up. The breakfast is filling (with welcome tags with the guests names on every table- a... More
