Great restaurant. Even on half board food was excellent. Rooms small but cosy. Bathroom only has hand held shower and is very dark,no English tv channels and no lift so carrying bags difficult. Staff are friendly but when hotel is full they are too stretched.

Had a very good deal via a booking website but will not pay the full price for this rooms! Great and friendly staff but the hotel is dated and the pictures doesn't show the reality of the place. The room was boiling, shower or very cold or very hot.

The hotel as such is ok, the room are cosy and staff friendly (although the bathroom was not super clean and would need to be refreshed). The swimming pool is nice but the rest of the spa is a bit limited (sauna is ridiculously small, as well as the Jacuzzi). The main disappointment for us was the restaurant, very poor... More

La Tourmaline wins on location. Peacefully set just off the main road serving six ski resorts (including Tignes and Val d'Isere) it's a perfect stop-over spot before the first night or after the last day in the resort. And its proximity to LesArcs and La Plagne means that it could be used as a base to ski these and other... More

We have been there for one night, we wanted to relax and profit of the SPA. The hotel is ok, rooms are clean but cold, the heating is completely manual and there is a lot of humidity. We tried the swimming pool, supposed to be 29 degrees, but it was very cold, you cannot stay inside... Sauna is ok and... More

We spent one night in La Tourmaline and have mixed feelings about it. The room is basic and to our taste outdated (the room we had definitely does not match the picture on tripadvisor !). The bathroom in general needs to be refreshed and bathtub to be changed (incl. tiling). The restaurant looks nice, starter was good but do not... More

This is an excellent place to overnight if, for example, you don't want to (or can't) get up to La Plagne in darkness. Rooms are clean and quiet - not the last word in luxury or modernity, but perfectly adequate. They are cursed, of course, with dim lighting, and wifi is not great (although it's perfectly OK in the public... More

Husband and I stayed two nights in this hotel, beginning January. The bedroom was basic but comfortable. The bed was slightly short (we're not overly tall but the bed was shorter than I'm used to) but comfortable and the sheets were clean. Bathroom also clean and functional. Breakfast was a very French affair with lots of lovely bread, jams, cheeses,... More
