Great lunch. Prix fixe - and we had skied hard ( well for me !) and booked for the lunch so had a bottle of rose in the sun. Skii in and out so easy. 3 courses - very memorable confit duck and chocolate brownie. Sunny terrace with great views. We will be back !

L'Hélios is one of these little mountain hotels that you immediately fall in love with upon arrival, when you see the reception. The déco is mountain-cozy but sober and elegant. Our room (33) was beautiful facing the ski slope and had sun in the afternoon (great to get some tan from the balcony after-ski). Yessss, the hotel is an amazing... More

We (family of 4 with 18/19 year old boys) completely agree with everything that Diappskier (Jan 2012) has said.We stayed at the Helios for Christmas 2012 and you would have hoped that in a whole year that some things might have improved. Alas I think they may have got worse! Hotel was very clean and welcoming. Staff were mostly very... More

I woul not hesitate to recommend this hotel, the rooms are spacious and decorated to a high standard. The bar serves up the best cocktails in Meribel but it is a shame that it is often empty. If I had one small it would be the service in the bar, they don't rush to serve you. I found the little... More

The owners are very nice. Everybody do their best to serve you. A special mention for the Carita Spa and quality of care. We eat well every night and there was an excellent bartender. Parking is a bit expensive but it's the price to pay to keep his car in good condition.Very nice hotel on the sopes and near the... More

After trying many hotels in Meribel we've found the best!! I stayed 2 weeks with my family (my wife and our 2 children). We had two different rooms, two suites the first week and the biggest room at the hotel and at Meribel, I think!!! The suites are big, with beautiful decoration, impeccable cleanliness and amazing views (south) and both... More

Stayed for a 10 days over Christmas at a cost of over $5,000 per person. Ouch! At this cost, accomodations, food and service should be impeccable. They were not. Accomodations were excellent, but cramped. Our bedroom reeked of fresh paint fumes; ventilation was non-existent. Lounge, dining room and bedroom decoration was superb, but actual finishings were spotty. E.G., skiers need... More

Good try, but not very impressive. Paid 900 euros/night for a week. There are better places with nicer staff for half the price. You have to book earlier, though. Love Meribel, but felt this hotel was a rip off. Staff is really incompent. Going to Meribel this February as well. But no more Helios.

We have been going to Meribel for many years for it's wonderful mix of fantastic skiing and scenery and its charming village atmosphere and architecture. But one thing has always been missing: a top quality, spacious, modern hotel with great interior design. Previously we had the choice between staying at Le Grand Coeur or renting a chalet. Le Grand Coeur... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a standard room at this little gem of a hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed and high end materials are used throughout: the towels and sheets are luxury quality, bathrooms are tiled with slate and the decor is elegant. The views of the valley of Meribel are gorgeous (we had a view from the... More
