We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2008. The comments made by previous reviewers are pretty much right - this is a small but well-run and friendly B&B in the centre of the village (which by the way is very good for eating out , with more restaurants than most of the other small villages in the Luberon area).... more

My husband and I just returned from a small group tour in Provence, and the tour was based in this B&B, in the lovely perched village of Bonnieux. There is a wonderful back garden with great views of the valley, and the Luberon mountains, and a patio to enjoy your baguette, cheese, olives, and wine you get from the stores... more

We ended our 2007 tour of Provence at Le Clos du Bois. What a gem!!! Right in the middle of the small village Bonnieux in the Luberon Valley. With all the facilities needed to make you feel at home. Friendly personell, great room with a view overlooking the whole Luberon all the way over to Mt Ventoux. Excellent garden facilities;... more

This is our last night in Le Clos du Buis and we leave with a mixture of sadness at our departure, and excitement for our next return. We have felt completely at home in the beautiful village of Bonnieux. Pierre Maurin and Sophie were kind, generous to a fault and made our stay completely unforgettable. The grounds are beautiful, the... more

The first point to make is that the B&B is situated in the centre of the village - this is not totally clear from their website. The full facilities of the village - including at least 8 restaurants - are, therefore, easily accessible. The acommodation has secure parking. Try and get a room facing the back. Bonnieux is an attractive... more

This was a wonderful B&B we stayed at and a perfect central area for exploring the surrounding villages. Accomodations were well maintained and charming. Breakfast was great with a good selection of local fruits and patisserie items. more

I agree with the other reviews. This was our favorite of the 4 places we stayed during our visit to France. We had the ground floor room (wheelchair accessible), which we loved, because it had it's own street entrance. The room was very spacious and the tub was lovely. The only negative we had, was that one night, there was... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2005. Charming hotel with a cute back yard with pool and a lovely view of the Luberon valley from the breakfast area. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. It felt like having our own pied a terre in Provence (particularly since we never saw anyone else in the living room area).... more

We spent eight delightful nights at the charming Le Clos du Bois located in the lovely hill top town, Bonnieux. Pierre Maurin, owner, maintains the Bed and Breakfast to the highest standard. Sophie, his very able assistant, is enthusiastic, extremely helpful and speaks fluent English. Le Clos du Buis is fabulously located, spotless, well decorated, offers incredible views of the... more

With no set itinerary, we were touring Provence and drove into Bonnieux one afternoon last month only to discover that the only hotel was closed for the season. Which was fortunate as Le Clos de Buis, the bed and breakfast which we wound up spending the next 12 nights, was fabulous! The property is located in the village, one short... more
