Just arrived here for 2 nights. Rooms scruffy but ok. Our shower head had no attachment so couldn't be fixed to the wall to wash ones hair. So I told reception who gave us a different room. BUT my 89 year old mother had the same problem in her room next door. Again I went downstairs. This time the man... More

We arrived in St Martin de Re without having booked a hotel, but having seen how beautiful it was decided to stay. Most places were booked up or too expensive for us, but The Hotel du Port was welcoming and available and in exactly the right place with a room overlooking the harbour basin. There are no reception rooms, and... More

Ile de Re is a must have an everyone's travels.... Just google it and read the guardian, telegraph and London standard reviews. I thought going in August would be out with my budget. However the hotel de Port offers decent size, clean rooms in the most fab location. You don't go to Re to sit in your room!!! Service was... More

At first glance this is a well appointed hotel on the harbour. It is the details that let it down: the door that was warped so opening it was very difficult; the light fittings that did not work; the air conditioning that would not work; and the dead extractor fans. The worst was the fact that the staff just shrugged... More

On arrival we were greeted by the friendly owner who helped us with out luggage. The room was typically Parisian with a door that goes onto a courtyard. We had a peaceful nights rest. The room was ample and adequate for the price and peaceful. The bathroom was very clean and modern. Monsieur recommended a great restaurant across the way... More

We decided that since we were driving around the southern and western area of France that we should experience this little isle. Drove to St. Martin il-de-re, parked the car and began walking in the village. We chose Hotel du Port as they were centrally located and were fairly priced for an obviously popular port village. Our room and bathroom... More

If one is looking for reasonably-priced yet convenient accommodation in SAINT-MARTIN-DE-RE, France, on the ILE-DE-RE, one cannot beat the HOTEL DU PORT! It is very centrally located. It is right in the middle of a great choice of restaurants, one good one being "LE BELEM" which is right next-door! There is a small grocery store nearby, too. The views overlooking... More

We stayed on the island for one night. The hotel was at a great location, near resturants and shops and near the marina. The rooms are basic, and spacious. Relativelly to other hotels on the island it was good value for money, but still way to expensive (120 EU for one night off season at a 2 star hotel without... More

The hotel is right on the port quay, in the middle of the buzz, but soundproofing is highly effective, and, even though our room overlooked the harbour and was one floor above restaurants, we slept well. The hotel rooms are immaculately clean. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and struggles - in fact, all the services in the hotel are... More

We stayed for two nigths in this hotel. The location is great, but the hotel is very normal and basic. It does not have a lift, and does not have a parking. Dont expect any thing fancy, is just a place to sleep. If you want to pay more money there're better places.
