Last minute booking on a 3 week tour of France. Decent hotel, easy to find, well signposted, comfortable bedroom, and grounds. Restaurant functional and over-priced for dinner. Breakfast basic and staff pushed to cope with turnover of guests and new "supplies". Bike hire expensive but enjoyable and to be recommended. Spa centre amazing and salt pool, steam room, sauna, etc... More

Good hotel but a bit businesslike. The distance to Ars is a 20 minutes walk but a nice walk. Ofcourse you can go by a bike or car. I read that a lot of people complained about nobody speaking English. But ofcourse we Dutch talk a bit about the border. But....I never encounter French speaking English hostesses so where are... We read the review and expected the worse. But everything was ok. Clean swimmingpool with towel, slippers and bathrobe supplied. Very good breakfast for French standards a pleasant walk of 20 minutes to the beach and the beds were great. All the complaints were little things and so the staff did not speak English and we as Dutch do speak... More

Before I went to Ile de Ré I had only the faintest of ideas about what precisely “thalasso therapy” means. I obviously knew that it had something to do with water but had no idea what would be involved in the treatments. I went to the Thalacap Ile de Ré through RCI, which means that I had to take a... Very unprofessional service, swiming pool dirty, and easytobook gave me wrong information. Expensive comparing with service. Didnt use all things that was on your website. Wrong publicity on web site, because comme services couldnt use. So bad service. We arrived before twelve and they gave us our room at 5 o clock

Booked a week via RCI Timeshare, the rules of the booking are that at least one of the party must book thalassotherapy treatments, no worries, we did it as a couple and had a really relaxing time. Ile de Re is very flat, so the views you get on is island like Sardinia are missing, however, it was still very... More

As Americans traveling to this hotel, it has been very, very difficult to communicate. The front desk personnel speak very limited English, if at all. We had to buy a 350 euro treatment package, which we found out later is a standard package with no choices of what services we took. We missed the tour of the facility due to... More

We stayed in room 114 and found it clean, a reasonable size but extremely basic. The bed was really hard, we were given two quite small tough pillows only (though the bed was a good size for France) with only one blanket and a thin bedspread. The room was really cold and although we adjusted the air con unit it... More

I'm going to be a little bit more descriptive here because we were caught off guard with ameneties that required additional payment. The room was older. There was a refrigerator under the TV. Yes, there was a TV, but with poort reception and limited channels. There was a stove top (2 burners), small sink hidden; but no pots, plates, silverware.... More

We were recommended to go there by friends and we liked it. Found the staff really friendly and v charming and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean and quite large for French standards. Public areas we found clean and tidy. Breakfast was a decent selection and worth the money. We'll go back another time for a bit longer and use... More
