A friend and i had lunch here in this charming historical old town. Jonzac is well worth a visit and the hotel did not disappoint. A medium size dining room full of locals was friendly and we had a very varied cold buffet starter followed by perfectly cooked fish. The lemon tart dessert was a bit sharp, but it was homemade.helpful... More

This is not by any means a perfect hotel, but it is a perfectly decent Logis (and so trustworthy in a basic kind of way) with a good restaurant. Secure parking. Makes for a reliable stopover in this attractive small town in the Charantes-Maritimes.

Good value, clean, great location, easy to find and secure parking. Hotel restaurant was busy at dinner with limited menu, breakfast is help yourself and average but adequate. Friendly front desk. Bed was good, room very small, a bit scruffy if you look too closely. You probably wouldn't want to be here for a week but for a couple of... More

As musicians playing during the Cognac festival we needed an extra night in the area. When we visited the L'Ecu although they only had one double room left they went out of their way and give us a double room with a small mattress on the floor which was fine and met our requirements. The Restaurant was very good and... More

Made several bookings--had to cancel some several weeks before the bookings were due. Did this by telephone. My telephone account clearly shows a 9 minute call which I have provided to the Hotel.Hotel untruthfully maintains that they were unaware of cancellations and have charged my Bank Account 144-44 Euros,Hotel is treating clients with contempt and as a Logis Group member this... This is a small hotel, with small, clean, en suite, but no-frills, rooms, but absolutely fine if that is what you are looking for. Owner Ludovic is very warm and friendly, and both service and food & wine in the restaurant are excellent and reasonably priced. Jonzac is a small town, with limited accommodation, so don't expect to turn up... More

We arrived mid afternoon to find the reception closed between 15:00 and 18:00. As we were staying here on a Sunday in January we chose this hotel because it had a restaurant, when we checked in we were told that the restaurant was closed that night but that there was somewhere to eat nearby. A quick sortee discovered that this... More

Having read past reviews on this hotel and it being too late to change was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very small but clean & tidy. Slept through the night. Staff very friendly and efficient. Excellent food & service.

Took the last room available in the hotel but did not expect the shower to be broken. By the morning after a second shower the thing completely fell apart. One of the bedside lights was literally hanging off the wall as was the floor level socket complete with overloaded adaptors! The bedroom curtain fell off the rail. The toilet seat... More

Stayed in room 210 for 3 nights. Room 209 blasted their television until 10pm each night and started up again at 5am each morning (4am on morning of last stay!). Asked to be moved, but was informed there were no rooms available despite seeing people check out each morning. Walls are clearly paper thin and I left the hotel, far... More
