Stayed here for one night before returning to the UK by Eurostar. This Ibis is pretty standard in terms of design / layout and has the new-style Ibis bedrooms (with vertical blinds and LCD TV). The breakfast was plentiful and good value. Service at reception was helpful and polite, with good English spoken by all the staff I met. At... more

We have been staying in this particular Ibis hotel countless times, waiting for a ferry or tunnel crossing. The location is very convenient, rates competitive, the rooms spotless. The nearby shopping mall is a great place to browse, shop, have dinner or a drink. Staff are very friendly. We stayed again in Dec. 2008 and thought that standards have dropped... more

Long journey from South Wales to Eurotunnel, so we booked a one night stay at this IBIS en route to our holiday destination in France. This was a nice hotel, very modern and clean. Bedrooms were roomy and the shower was excellent. We paid extra for the breakfast, which was just right before we set out. (A quick stop in... more

After a long drive the hotel was much better than I had expected after reading some of the reviews. The reception/bar area was comfortable and the corridors did not smell (I made a point of checking). The rooms are standard for this 2/3 star hotel and the shower was excellent. The only noise we heard during the night was a... more

Having stayed at this hotel several times over the past 12 months, and in the past thought it was good value for money, we were disappointed this time. Can't fault the staff, who have always been extremely efficient and friendly. However, standards seemed to have slipped - take your own pillows (they were dreadful) - there also seemed to be... more

This hotel is quite new and has air-con in the rooms, brilliant in the summer! I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times on Wed nights, at least twice a year in the past 2 years, in Jun and Nov, as the overnight booze run hotel of choice. My partner and I prefer to do overnight trips rather... more

You get what you pay for, value for money but no home comforts. Hard beds with one pillow each meant that we didn't get a great night's sleep. Arrived just as dinner orders were finishing so had to eat off the 'frozen' snack menu. Overcooked, hard lasagne even seemed bearable (just) with 1.40 euro glasses of wine! Friendly reception/bar man... more

Stopped for a 'booze cruise' and found the room comfortable, clean and well thought out. A lot of people were staying with their dogs in order to comply with the 'animal passport' scheme and it seemed mostly English speakers, but the staff spoke good English. Food in the cafe not that good but plenty of choices nearby. more

I visited here on a booze cruise with my mate. We stayed just the one night midweek and it was superb. We paid £28 each for a double room each!! I found this offer on the IBIS website so well worth the money. Great location for "city europe" for all your shopping. If you find city europe then you have... more
