This was a Gallic Fawlty Towers experience without the humour. Although the food was reasonable, the senior members of staff we're unhelpful and unfriendly. I made the mistake of changing my mind and adding a cheese course before dessert and half expected the appearance of an angry chef bearing a meat cleaver. I would not recommend this venue, there are... More

We arrived in Luz-Saint-Sauveur on a busy weekend. The 'trendy' Luz side was fully booked, but fortunately found a bed in the 19th century Saint Sauveur side - lined with fading, elegant Victorian hotels which still serve the local spa. We got a warm welcome from Stephanie and Hervé; the hotel and room are pure Victorian - dark wood, high... More

If you are looking for all mod cons, then maybe this is not the hotel for you. But we had a great week here. This is a traditional French hotel, well priced for the stay. The breakfast was basic but the produce, pans and pastries are excellent. Although the hotel is some distance from the centre of Luz the views... More

We had a bad experience in the restaurant. Service was slow, wrong main course arrived, which was pointed out to them, but they refused to change it, saying that is what we had ordered. For the cost of changing one main course they had lost two good customers. We paid for what we had eaten, no tip, and left.

The hotel is located in the thermal neighbourhood a bit outside the centre. Our room was in a building next to the main hotel. The entrance smelled damp and old. The room was on the ground floor with a lock that could be opened with a creditcard. Old furniture but the bathroom was new and windows well isolated. Parking is... More

The hotel was once a great place, and has that faded glory. But it's desperately in need of remodeling. The carpeting was threadbare, lounges in the room very tired. Staff not very friendly. Almost resented serving "etrangers". We didn't feel welcome and would never return.

We arrived after a long, hot day in the mountains to find the staff unwelcoming and unhelpful, the standard of furnishing and equipment in the room and the hotel generally very old and tired, the beds uncomfortable and everything generally awful. This hotel is more 1970's tatty than faded victorian elegance. The last straw was a broken shower in the... More

We stayed for 3 nights DBB in this hotel. The views from our room were superb. The bedroom was very large with quirky old fashioned furniture, very different from the typical French chain hotels. The reception area looked rather faded and in need of redecoration but our room was well equipped, well decorated and very clean. The restaurant was across... More
