As other reviewers have commented, Sharon and Declan are wonderful hosts, who make you feel immediately welcomed and right at home. I loved Declan’s Irish brogue and dry sense of humor. We stayed in the top floor Terrace Room with a private wraparound terrace and a stunning view of Mount Canigou. The breakfast was generous and delicious. They stock a... More

The house is a stately old home renovated for comfort, but with every attempt made to preserve the original decor (including tiles, panes of glass, relief plaster work) and charm. The paintings on the walls in our two-room suite were lovely, obviously chosen by someone with an eye for poetry in art. And then there was the view of the... More

Came upon this exceptional place by chance. Luckily there was room for us as this one of the best places we have ever stayed. We stayed for six nights in the terrace rooms. Huge bedroom, very modern bathroom and a small sitting room with sofa, TV and fridge (in which Declan would stick free wine and beer!) and a lovely... More

We stayed at Maison 225 for five days, and we soon realized that we had made a brilliant choice. You can't go wrong with this place. We planned to do some hiking in the region, and Declan and Sharon were most helpful in suggesting which hikes would be best on which day, as the temperatures were getting close to 30... More

The house is a real gem and our room was spacious and lovely furnished, with a very nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. The breakfast was outstanding, with home-made bread and scones, fresh fruit, yogurt, and croissants. Sharon and Declan were very friendly and helpful and did everything to make our stay a wonderful experience.... More

I don't normally do a review on places where I stay, however in this case I feel compelled to do so. I recently stayed at Maison 225 for 3 nights during my trip to the Pyrenees. It is set in the pretty little village of Prades, surrounded by the mountains and so much beauty. My room was very spacious with... More

I stayed with Sharon & Declan O'Kane for a night during my cycling trip across the Pyrenees. From the moment I arrived, I knew this place was top-notch. I descended off the Col de Jau on a hot day in June and Declan welcomed me, kindly helped me to my room and urged me to take advantage of the pool.... More

Had booked well in advance for a motorcycle trip through the Pyrenees having seen that this establishment had good reviews. I was not disappointed. Owner Sharon rang me on my mobile in the afternoon because she had to do some shopping and wanted to make sure that she would be there when I arrived. A most thoughtful touch. On arrival... More

We loved our stay in the wonderfully comfortable room, enjoyed our wonderful breakfasts, loved the yoghurt with muesli, honey and fruit. The restaurant recommendation was excellent. They have private parking, which can be challenging with a larger car.
