This was a delightful small hotel with generous sized rooms where you could really relax in the comfy chairs. The bathroom was equally generous in size. T & C making facilities in room. Enjoyed the Bistro for dinner and breakfast, perhaps boiled or scrambled eggs would have completed the breakfast menu! Did not use the more costly restaurant. Lovely staff... More

This Hotel was a delight in the Sancerre area. A lovely base to stay and visit the areas wineries. First, its a big surprise, from the outside it looks average but inside it has been totally renovated with very large modern rooms, great bathrooms and fantastic restaurant and Bistro. Meters away are brilliant wineries to visit, 50 m away is... More

This time it was the second time we stayed here and we felt just as welcome and at home as the first time. The rooms are amazing, beds are perfect and the personnel goes the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Both the bistrot and the restaurant are delicious! Chavignol is the perfect sleepy village for when you are... More

This property is top notch-warning This is a very very quiet town with not much going on here The restaurant was closed the night we were there so we had to leave town to find a full dinner The bistro at the hotel was limited as to their menu Enjoyed our stay and love small village hotels

This was my second visit to Sancerre and I was very pleased to find this hotel. A great deal of care and attention has been invested to make this hotel a really pleasant destination. Nicely decorated rooms with excellent bathrooms. A great location in this charming village which is a central location from which to explore the Sancerre district. We... More

What a delight! Lovely room with a super comfy big bed. Well appointed bathroom (even a comfy chair to sit in). Super clean and a good sized room. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The 'up market' restaurant was closed but we ate in the bistrot and the food was good and of course a good selection of local... More

We agree with the majority of reviews of this hotel, although to expect fluent English to be spoken whilst in the heart of France is ignorant and i don't think can be held against the hotel! All the staff we met were able to communicate with us enough and on the most part their English was very good and certainly... More

I agree with the other reviews that this B&B is clean, etc., even has an elevator and A/C, but the young woman who checked us in spoke almost no English, and when told that we couldn't stay the two nights booked via Booking.com due to a medical reason, she said in broken English that that was okay. Once in the... More

Great place to stay, awesome bed, and great breakfast in the morning! I'd skip the fancy restaurant though. My room had a nice bathtub and a view of the hills. Service was friendly and their English was good in most cases.

My wife and I stayed 1 night, following a long-planned visit to Sancerre. Set in Chavignol, a quiet village a couple of miles outside Sancerre, the hotel is tastefully modern, and our room was first class in every respect. The staff were at all times very friendly and helpful. Although there is no attached car park, parking in the little... More
