I spent five nights at La Chanciliere during October. Not much I can add to the other reviews, but here’s a few things I really liked: -I enjoyed the little town of Saint-Satur. There were a couple of great restaurants that I could easily walk to from La Chanciliere. It was also a good base to explore the Sancerre region.... More

My wife and I recently stayed several days and loved staying at this lovely place house (both interior and exterior). There is a very nice deck and yard with a view towards vineyards and of Sancerre. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hosts Nicole and Jacques were very nice and spent time talking with us and providing recommendations.... More

The internet was not working. They said I could use a credit card but asked for cash. The parking is really on street parking. The breakfast was great. It was off season and cold. Dogs are nice but 3 or 4 in the dining room may be a bit much. Not my thing

I booked La Chanceliere on the strength of the TripAdvisor reviews. I agree with all the comments, the warmth of the hosts, breakfast, wine on the terrace, but there are one or two downsides: the room was nice but not wonderful with nowhere to hang clothes, parking is difficult with even a moderately sized car and wifi is poor. Saint... More

Nicole and Jacques, the owners of La Chancelier, have done an amazing job creating a wonderful experience at their Bed & Breakfast. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and still dream about going back to this oasis. My husband and i were constantly surprised and delighted at this place. We came via train from Paris... More

We brought our little boys with us, ages 1 and 3 and it was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had with them. The backyard was beautiful and safe for them to run around. We enjoyed apertifs on the balcony with other guests and the wonderful breakfasts prepared for our family. The bathroom and shower, bed were... More

We stayed here for two nights. It was just perfect. Jacques and Nicole Audibert are wonderful hosts. We were given a very warm welcome and given the opportunity to choose one of two rooms, both lovely. We were then treated to Sancerre and nibbles on the terrace before dinner on a local restaurant. Breakfast on each day was excellent and... More

My wife and I along with two of our children (aged 4 and 6) stayed at La Chanceliere for 3 days. Thou you cant expect it, our stay was what we hoped for and dreamed of. We were grateful to have two separate bedrooms with a bathroom between. Just perfect for families with small children. So is the big lawn.... More

I have nothing new to add but wanted to confirm the continued excellence of this small hotel. Excellent breakfast on the terrace. Friendly proprietors with high standards. Nice rooms. Great building and grounds. Wonderful experience.

We stayed three nights with Jacques and Nicole in their lovely, old, characterful house in a small village down the hill from Sancerre itself. Breakfast, in particular - taken on the terrace each morning - was perfect - fresh croissants and viennoiserie, coffee, yoghurt and everything else you could wish for; but the main thing to say is how indescribably...
