I booked Hotel Julia on the basis that it was compulsory half board in August and thus would deal with eating at start and end of the day for my holiday with my two children (10 and 9). However, beware, this hotel is not set up for children and shows no inclination to do so. We were not even offered... More

We love hotel Julia for it’s atmosphere. In my wife’s words: “it’s like a time-machine”. Especially the restaurant has the radiation of a traditional beach resort hotel, without any changes since the times people dressed for their dinners. In line with this style, the food is of a classical refined taste, not smashing in your face how good the cook... More

Hotel is signposted from the main seafront road, and just as well, as it is well back from view. Car parking Ok. Public rooms not great - airless, furnishings scruffy [it was end-season]. Staircase to 2nd floor rooms very narrow indeed, & tricky with a suitcase: claustrophobic landing. Room small, not very well decorated - tired and tatty - and... More
