My husband and I and another couple stayed there for 3 nights in June . We got lost leaving CDG airport and took the really long route. We called the owner Jean-Paul and he could not have been nicer. He suggested we find dinner as it was 9:00PM so we stopped at Bayeux. We arrived at midnight and Jean-Paul was... more

We were on a 24 hour ferry crossing so could only stay one night. We were greeted by the friendly owner Jean-Paul whose English was better than our French. Our room was large and very clean and fresh smelling, the bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom. As it was a b&b Jean-Paul gave us a list of restaurants that were... more

My partner and I spent 3 nights at this hotel. I disagree with the term hotel. It is a bed and breakfast. To be fair the room was clean. We had a "superior room" with garden view. The room was absolutely tiny, located in the attic and the garden view was of the car park in front of the hotel.... more

We stayed for three nights at this terrific, welcoming small hotel. The manager Jean-Paul is very helpful and non intrusive. Our room was large and very comfortable with a good shower in the ensuite. We enjoyed good simple breakfasts in a charming breakfast room and could walk into the village as the centre is minutes away. We would certainly return... more

Spent five days at this hotel. Everything was just perfect. A very friendly and helpful owner who takes a pride in every aspect of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very relaxing. Lots to do in the pretty fishing port. We would love to return. more

We booked for three nights and stayed for 5 such was the excellent hospitality shown by the owner Jean Paul who has a great sense of humour. As the Granitiere does not offer dinner John Paul gave us a very helpful (and accurate) briefing to the local restaurants. Breakfast was good with fruit juice, cereal, breads, croisants, fruit, yoghurt and... more

My wife and I stayed at the La Granitiere in May for a short 4 day break. This small comfortable hotel is run with great enthusiasm by John Paul who could not of been more hospitable and helpfull. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Thanks to John Paul we were able to visit some excellent places of interest that really... more

We have just returned from a four night stay in this hotel. The hotel was a perfect base from which to explore this part of Normandy and we certainly felt very comfortable there. The owner Jean-Paul and staff are very friendly and the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. We were grateful for all of the tourism advice and helpfulness we... more

First of all a great hotel with a superb and super friendly owner/manager. He could not have done more to help our stay and for that we are very grateful. We will return! Huge rooms. Good free WiFi. We thoroughly recommend a stay here. However, book this directly with the hotel and not with PLANIGO. You get a better deal... more

We wanted a hotel in Normandy to spend a few days visiting the D-Day landing beaches/museums etc. and 'struck gold' with this hotel. La Granitiere is small (10 rooms), loads of old authentic french charm, fresh, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The owner looked after us as if we were personal guests in his home. I would reccommend this hotel... more
