We stayed at this hotel on Friday 9th July 2015. The hotel itself is pleasant enough and has charm. The dining room and conservatory are beautiful rooms and the garden is delightful. The staff are also generally pleasant. We found our room to be dated, but just about acceptable, although if you have mobility problems you will find the upper... More

My partner and I have stayed here about 45 times over a 20 year period, it's our relaxing bolt hole away from the UK. We've also taken groups of friends and family, many of whom became repeat visitors. The food is stunning and has been reviewed in several UK newspapers and magazines over the years. The cheaper rooms are quite... More

Stayed here in October with my husband because it was convenient for the ferry home. Nice building but the rooms need a revamp especially the carpets and the bathrooms...very poor condition. Staff were miserable and unfriendly and we only discovered after booking - in that our dog was going to cost an extra €6.... We should have been made aware... More

We had a spacious and comfortable refurbished room on the second floor overlooking the front courtyard (and the fuschias). Managed to park right outside (but there are plenty of spaces behind the hotel if needed, except on Saturday mornings when the street market runs along at the back of the hotel - well worth a visit, as is l’épicerie Gosselin,... A very pleasant stay for an anniversary. Hotel and food were fine. The atmosphere was professional but lacking in passion, a feeling that the staff were doing their job well but without real enthusiasm.

I booked two rooms in this hotel one week prior to our arrival, on line through the Logis de France reservations. This is our 3rd visit to this Hotel. , we paid 72 euros plus tax and 100 euros plus tax on a room only basis. On checkout I noticed a sign on the reception offering huge room discounts for... More

We always enjoy staying here, and like a room over the front courtyard, with fuschias round the window. The rooms are small but comfortable, and we felt that the restaurant was more relaxed than in earlier years - we ate well. We parked without problems a few yards up the road from the entrance. We enjoyed having a drink in... More

We stayed here for one night and had dinner on the first night of our holiday. The room overlooked the courtyard at the front and was a reasonable size with separate bathroom and toilet. It was accessed by some quite challenging stairs especially for carrying suitcases which may not be suitable for some guests although not a problem for us.... More

After arriving in Cherbourg, St Vaast was the first stop of our cycling tour of the Cotentin Peninsula in early July. Seven out of the eleven of us stayed at the Hotel France et Fuschias. Excellent choice, we had a smallish but very good room in the main block, rest were in more expensive but I understand very good rooms... More

We stayed here for two nights - a week apart - during a sailing holiday with Escape Yachting. This lovely traditional hotel is in a great location right in the centre of town, between two streets, and very close to the harbour and marina. The Tatihou room we stayed in was small and the Hougue room was a little larger... More
