Spontaneous farewell lunch with friends before catching the Cherbourg ferry. 4 people, no booking, no problem. Large dog, no problem. Delightful conservatory dining room, discreet but attentive service, and the meal was very special - small amounts, but beautifully presented and unusual combinations of tastes. Only criticism was that the decor was a little tired, and the garden view looked... More

Stayed here when on business in Cherbourg. An excellent choice. A really pleasant coastal town a short distance/time from Cherbourg. The hotel has fantastic gardens and ambience. The rooms are comfortable and in keeping with the style of the building. I agree with other reviewers - the upper rooms are not for the infirm. An excellent restaurant in hotel -... More

We stayed here in late August 2015. The rooms were quite comfortable - only small issue was the narrow steps to our room. Five of us had dinner at the hotel restaurant (Les Fuchias) which was delightful. Our meals were excellent, presented extremely well. Service was great and helpful. A memorable part of our visit to Normandie.

Nice hotel with great entrance. Close to the city centre, with great restaurand and a terace. Rooms are clean, WiFi is available in rooms and in the loby, bathroom is small but clean. Sleep quality is good. Staff is very helpfull, although not many of them speak English.

We stayed at this hotel on Friday 9th July 2015. The hotel itself is pleasant enough and has charm. The dining room and conservatory are beautiful rooms and the garden is delightful. The staff are also generally pleasant. We found our room to be dated, but just about acceptable, although if you have mobility problems you will find the upper... More

My partner and I have stayed here about 45 times over a 20 year period, it's our relaxing bolt hole away from the UK. We've also taken groups of friends and family, many of whom became repeat visitors. The food is stunning and has been reviewed in several UK newspapers and magazines over the years. The cheaper rooms are quite... More

Stayed here in October with my husband because it was convenient for the ferry home. Nice building but the rooms need a revamp especially the carpets and the bathrooms...very poor condition. Staff were miserable and unfriendly and we only discovered after booking - in that our dog was going to cost an extra €6.... We should have been made aware... More

We had a spacious and comfortable refurbished room on the second floor overlooking the front courtyard (and the fuschias). Managed to park right outside (but there are plenty of spaces behind the hotel if needed, except on Saturday mornings when the street market runs along at the back of the hotel - well worth a visit, as is l’épicerie Gosselin,... A very pleasant stay for an anniversary. Hotel and food were fine. The atmosphere was professional but lacking in passion, a feeling that the staff were doing their job well but without real enthusiasm.

I booked two rooms in this hotel one week prior to our arrival, on line through the Logis de France reservations. This is our 3rd visit to this Hotel. , we paid 72 euros plus tax and 100 euros plus tax on a room only basis. On checkout I noticed a sign on the reception offering huge room discounts for... More
