This is not a hotel, but a tatty, tired B&B , no facilites at all,no bar as advrtised, no lounge area, just your room and the communal breakfast room . does not warrant its 2 stars even. We only stayed the one, pre booked night , I would not have stayed any longer and certainly would not go back. had... more

Poor quality hotel, small and smelly room, beds were musty and uncomfortable, very expensive drinks and how they can call a small cupboard in the reception area a Bar is beyond me! Location was the only positive feature. more

I stayed there recently with my partner, my sister and her husband. It was a great location - easy to access all D-Day beaches. The room and bathroom was clean. Very comfy beds. Excellent breakfast the next day. Good value. more

My two brothers, my dad and I all stayed in this hotel lat week - May 15th to 2 nights. We were visiting the D day beaches (of course) and I was the one who booked the hotel. I was pretty nervous about Changelclair given some of the reviews are very hostile (but the location is first-class in any case)... more

We, 3 bikers from the Netherlands, stayed in this hotel form April 11th to 17th. The very friendly and helpful owner made us stay in the new hotel facility in the new house opposite the hotel. Excellent and spacious room / bathroom / kitchen, for a more than reasonable price. Breakfast was as can be expected in France: baguettes, croissants,... more

A very unpleasant experience - we were overcharged for the room - the advertised room rate on the back of the door in which we stayed was 45 Euros + 20 Euros for an additional person - we paid 85 Euros and the explanation was that the room was actually 65 + 20 extra for our 2 year old!!! We... more

The location of the hotel for sightseeing is good and car parking is also good. The rooms are very tired and overdue a makeover. The owners proudly advertise the last refurbishment was in 1987. The towels in the room were damp and the shower was faulty. The walls are paper thin so can hear a pin drop or worse still... more

I agree entirely with the "Rough Landing at Gold Beach" reviewer. The hotel is tired and dated and, in comparison to a wide range of hotels I have stayed in throughout Europe, offers very poor value for money. Staying in a "double" room as a single person, even I struggled with the lack of space. The cleanliness of my room... more

The Brits landed there on D-Day and probably received a warmer reception. I had to play charades with the innkeeper because my French was worse than her English. When we finally were settled into less than hospitable rooms, a gentleman who fortunately spoke better English informed us that breakfast would cost 7.50 euros each, including our 5-year-old. One of the... more
