This hotel us great! I'm not dating here with my family of four people, we are living in a 5-bedroom suit, that is clean, big, comfortable and cosy. The staff is really friendly and helpful, although, as far as I am concerned, not everyone of them speaks English. That's a pity, but a stimuli to learn French. Breakfast includes tea/coffee, croissants... More

We had a very enjoyable stay here. I chose it because of its location and it did not disappoint. It is an easy stroll to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. The hotel itself like previous reviewers have said, looks like a motel, but it is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable,... More

This hotel was fantastic. We arrived after having traveling all day and were hot and tired. Sylvie greeted us and was warm and friendly! We stayed in the family room, 1 double bed and 2 twin beds for the 4 of us. It was spacious, comfortable and spotless! This is definately a hotel that we would stay in again. The... More

I had always wanted to stay at the Mountbatten Hotel, so this trip I finally did so; and what a great decision it was. The staff were friendly, and etremely helpful - and tollerant of my non-existent French. The hotel is not the cheapest around, but is perfectly placed in the centre of Arromanches, only 200m from the beach, museum... More

L'ideal Hotel, The Mountbatten is an excellent place to stay in Arromanches for a Normandy visit or as a stopover during a France/European holiday. Accomm rates are reasonable, the rooms are large bright and breezy, hosts are efficient and friendly and the room staff are excellent. I recently stayed for 2 nights as part of a return visit to Arromanches... More

We stayed two nights at this small and quiet hotel in Arromanches (the town was ground zero for the D-Day invasion) between Christmas and New Year and we really enjoyed our stay. Our downstairs room was large, clean, and modern and the bathroom was well-equipped. It is five minutes walking distance from the beach so the location couldn't be better... More

We chose this hotel, as it was close in town and all the sites. It met all our needs completely. It is more like a motel that you would find in the U.S., than what we usually see in Europe. The room was large for the 3 of us and the breakfast adequate to get us going for the day.... More

A small, clean place with excellent parking. The town itself is a little stuck in a time-warp of being grateful to the Allies smashing up their town on D-Day 1944, but if you are interested in reminiscing about World Wars then this is a great place to be. Access to Caen and Bayeux is excellent. The room was clean and... More

This was our first stop off in France on our way down to the Vendee. I would highly recommend this hotel and so would my wife (who is particularly fussy). We were travelling with a 6 year old and 2 year old so had the quad family room. We were in room 9, which is a sort of annex to... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the annexe at the end of the hotel built i guess for families. It was very clean, and we would use this place again. We didn't go for the breakfast, there is a Boulangie just down the street that does excellent stuff.. The small car parking area is tight to get in and out... More
