Stopped here late at night when every other hotel was filled up. The office was run down but the lady at the desk was nice and assured me the rooms were clean. Checked in and parked in front of our room. When we opened the door we were immediately greeted by a horrible stench. It wasn't smoke odor - more... More

I much prefer spending low on a hotel/motel room vs. flashy, high priced accommodations, and then use the savings to treat myself to a really nice dinner, or some other activity. The Budget Inn is just fine, folks, surprisingly fine. Good TV quality, plenty of cable channels, reliable wifi, soft bed, hot water, microwave and fridge, park at the door.... More

In the Skyland area of Shendandoah around Luray, you usually have two choices for hotels--overprised name-brand hotels ($90) or dumps that have seen better days. This place falls in the latter category, and appears to have been built in the 1940s. There are no amenities here, but the rooms are cheap, the beds comfortable, and the linens clean. When you... Decided to check this little motel out, I stay at the DAYs INN all the time around the corner, thought if the rooms were "ok" and the price was good, I'd save a buck. They wouldn't let me see the room first, they have a NO REFUND policy, but I wanted to see the rooms first, and the Indian gentleman... More

We were caught in the rain on the motorcycles and this was the first place to stay. The price was high for just a bed, but all in all the room was ok. If we had the interstate coupon the room would have been 20.00 cheaper. The owner was really nice though.

Air conditioning is not cool, floors weren't clean, light didn't work in bathroom and we told office nothing was done about it, outlets didn't work for phone chargers or hair dryer, and in order to get ice had to go to office and they give you a very small portion. Very disappointed. Will never stay here again!

This is not a luxury hotel, it's a 1950s style inexpensive motel. It's cheap, and a bargain (under $50 with tax). Cheap hotels often make up for their low price with dirty unkempt rooms. Not so at this Budget Inn. The bathroom was spotless, even thought the fixtures were old. And while Martha Stewart may deplore the furnishings ;-) we... More

Spent the night here on business travel, and decided to try out one of the older places for fun. This motel was built, probably around 1950, as the Battlefield Motel. The office still has some '50s flair, but the rooms have been remodeled. The rooms are typical of an older motel. They are pretty big, and decently furnished. The linens... More

I was on vacation with my family and we didn't want to spend too much money so we decided to stay at the Budget Inn. I had made a reservation and when i got to the motel the clerk was ready for us and we were in our room in 2 minutes. Service was great and the room was definitely... More

Our car broke down going from New York to North Carolina. The gas station owners where we ended up told us this was the closest place, so we went. We had no other choice but to risk our car breaking down on the highway. When we got there, the lobby desk had all these awards on it, which I don't... More
