We spent our honeymoon here in 1976 & our return visit was Sept 2008. The center of attraction is the golf course, which is exceptionally well maintained and the motel is booked solid on weekends during golf season. The dining area is part of a century old estate/plantation which has been modernized. The rooms are clean, the pool is exceptionally nice and the view
of the mountain views to the east is beautiful. The food choice is the main lodge or the "19th hole" of the golf course. Both are adequate and it lends a more relaxing feeling to just stay in one place to eat, drink & be merry. Nearby attractions are Luray Caverns, snow skiing and Shenandoah National Park. The motel is run by locals and they care about taking care of you. -JIm Ashburn
