Hotel with a great location in the center of the village. Great food and wine selection. Secured car park was another positive aspect of this hotel. The village has somehow kept is original aspect and has not been yet extremely exposed to the negative sides of mass tourism. Still a village were you enjoy a different pace and great local... More

One could complain that it is a bit old-fashioned, but it was, after all, built some 500 years ago! A coaching inn with decent size bedrooms, modern bathrooms, immaculately clean and a charming, helpful staff. There is also an up-market annexe which offers more luxury. The breakfast room gets rather squashed when the hotel is full and the choice of... More

Situation: Direct close to "The Action" (if this happens at all in Wissembourg). The Hotel has Rooms in the "Main Building" and in the Depandance. We stayed in the Depandance in a modern, clean, quiet room. Breakfast (satisfactory, reasonable) was served in the Main Building. (Consider: French Brekfast seems normally very frugal to other folks, especially of Englisch tongue). Big... More

What a great location! Right downtown, in back of the City Hall. The staff was very helpful, especially when we needed them to put down a handicapped-accessible ramp so we could access the restaurant and breakfast buffet. The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious; I'm drooling just remembering my char wrapped in cabbage leaf with heirloom vegetables, mini... More

The hotel was nice and cosy and right in the center of Wissembourg. The room ordinary, but must complaint about very hard beds. Difficult to get a good night sleep. The restaurant was very good. We had a 4 course dinner with a nice bottle of wine and the food was nicely presented and very good. Highly recommended.

Having looked at rooms in two buildings, we chose a room on the second floor in the old "Faucon" building, built in l535 @ 70 euros per night. It necessitated climbing a lot of stairs, no lift but the room was warm and cosy, fitted with pine furniture and a bath not just a shower. We had also been shown... More

We stayed for a week in this small, comfortable hotel, which is in the heart of Wissembourg. It is steps away from the tourist office and an easy walk to all the sites, shops and restaurants in town. The staff are very professional and friendly. The room faced the street (although the hotel is set back from the main road)... More

hotel was comfortable enough but be prepared for no duvet-blankets only which were very comfortable temperature wise in room,.. no wifi connection on 3rd floor even although they say that there is. no kettle in room. Highlight of stay was the restaurant in hotel. One of the best in the area. Hotel was very central in town and easy access... More

This is a small but cosy hotel at the very center of Wissembourg. Our room was in a buiding of the 16th century in front of the main hotel. The room, with two large beds, was at the last floor, and it was clean, not large but very romantic! A couple of timbers were too low for my head, but... More

We flew into Frankfurt, Germany, rented a car and drove to France. At Gruenstadt, we left the Autubahn, and drove along the Weinstrasse, through the beautiful wine villages of Germany. We crossed the border into France at Schweighofen, and were in Wissembourg - Weisenburg on the German road signs - in a few minutes. The Hostellerie au Cygne is in... More
