Difficult to get to if you don't have a car (like me) but well worth it! The room was great. I stayed in the Legend of the Trolls room and felt like in an enchanted forest. It is annoying that there are set times when you can check in, so you have to go out of your way to get... More

We stayed in the Trojan Horse. First impressions weren't great as reception is only open for limited times and, although we arrived during the time it should have been opened, no-one was there. Others were also waiting. We were then shown round and received the complimentary drinks and food in the fridge. The girl who showed us round was very... More

It seems unbelievable that someone has clearly put passion and creativity together to build a trojan horse style suite. Apparently a local artist built this horse and decorated the other rooms in the main building (which you can visit if you check out late enough), and it is spectacular. From the motorised drawbridge out the back to the head that... More

My partner and I stayed in 'the stars of the desert' room. We were shown to our room and given complimentary sherry and nuts. The room was amazing, the pictures really don't do it justice. lots of thought has gone into the little details. The room was very dark which was disorientating at times. The location of the hotel is... More

If you are looking for a completely new experience you should definitely go to "La Balade des Gnomes". We have spent there one night and it was magical. At our arrival we were offered a very nice "aperitif" from the house and the staff was very nice allowing us to get a tour of the hotel and its strange rooms!... More

This is definitely the most unusual place we have ever stayed, but we knew what we were getting into. We stayed in the Hutta di Zobabou-Bou room. We had a chance to view some of the other rooms before we left, and if we had it to do over we probably would have paid more for one of the nicer... More

We stayed in the forest room for one night on our way back from France to the Netherlands. I would preface this review with you need to know what you are getting into when you book is hotel. It is in the country - we drove to have dinner in Durbuy - and it is eccentric as you can guess... More

We stayed for 1 night in Le Cheval de Troie, the centre piece of this little boutique hotel. The external décor definitely makes you smile as you enter the car park. The working drawbridge was a definite hit. As for the interior, the main bed was huge. The toilet wasn’t terribly spacious (and is located some distance from hand-washing facilities)... More

Imagine sitting in a hotel room and being happy with looking at all the details that have been used to build or furnish the room. At the same time experience the life of a troll, which you know only from the screen and thought it could never be reality. That's what we found the hotel to be. Different for a... More

We were doing a road trip through Netherlands and Belgium with my wife and we wanted to stay at somewhat different and interesting hotels, we got double satisfaction out of this place. We though it was a bit out of our way, thinking that Belgium was Brugge, Antwerp, Brussels, Liege and Waterloo, having arranged to spend a night at La... More
