The Good: We had a delightful 3 night stay at villa solitude. Very good overall experience. It's a hotel with B&B feel. Likely the best in Bad Gastein. Spacious rooms. Staff is superb, very hospitable. They leave you be. Your personal breakfast, great! Location with terrace views of the village and waterfall. Parking in front of the hotel. Top 5... More

We spent one night in transit to Slovenia in this spectacular guest house. The deck is to die for, hanging over the ledge with the raid river and waterfall some 100+ feet below. There is no need to look where to eat at night as the restaurant is 4+ stars as well. Would love to be there in the winter... More

Stayed only one night but everything was perfect. The room was excellent, very large with everything you would expect in a four star hotel! The Restaurant and Wine bar were an added bonus. We had a fantastic meal in the evening on the terrace overlooking the waterfall- very relaxing! Breakfast was just as good and all served to the table!... More

Three night stay in a fine old house in Bad Gastein...... an excellently spacious room gave a view across the river valley and the waterfall that runs straight through town because it can't be bothered to go round. A very good dinner with a chirpy helpful waiter/maitre d' and a fine choice of wines..... they do very good wines including... More

if you love history and how were they living before 200 years you're gonna love this place. it is nice, clean and they are trying their best to keep it as old as it is. I assume it was a private palace for somebody before hundreds of years. the room looks nice, old style the bathroom is beautiful, big and... More

From check-in to check-out this was a truly brilliant experience! We stayed for a week in July when things are quiet in the area so everyone had more time for the few tourists around but we felt this was just adding to the charm of this pleasant villa. You probably would have expected a room like this a hundred years... More

Stayed for 4 nights in Villa Solitude, very rapid check-in, great parking space. Room- an apartment clean, with nice terrace, antique furniture and nice terrace. The rooms on the first floor even nicer, but we had access to a nice living room, great terrace. Restaurant near villa, Lutter and Wegner- very good, especially the best crème brulee( prices fair). Feeling... More

This is a true villa, Inside are original antiques in the common areas as well as the rooms, which are better than 5 star hotels I have stayed at. The bathroom was one of the nicest I've seen, better than the Ambassador Hotel In Vienna. The place is kept spotless. The view from my room as well as the terrace... More
