We stayed here with my partner's family booked through Crystal Ski, the hotel is slightly out of the way of the main ski lift area however it has it's own runs at the Graukogel which is a mere 5 mins walk away. There are regular buses that will get you down to the centre area in time for the lifts... more

To be positive, the hotel has a great outdoor swimming pool with lovely views over the valley. Also very polite and helpful staff / owners. On the negative side, the hotel is pretty dated and is furnished like your grandparents house, but does have a certain charm for that! It is also not near to any skiing or that close... more

As my title suggests, this hotel was up there with Fawlty Towers!!! On arrival, we were ushered into a room that could only be described as going back to the 1920's and one could bearly move around for all the dated, rikety furniture. The hotel messed up our reservation and could not understand where we were coming from even though... more

I was googling the Alpenblick to call my wife, saw the other reviews and felt compelled to add my own.... We ( 2 adults, 3 children: 15, 13, 10) have been going there annually - this will be our fourth year. My wife usually squeezes in an extra week on her own too. We love the hotel. It is a... more

Upon arrival we were all very dissapointed. We had to stay in the lounge area for some time, which resembled an auction room of antique furniture! Eventually our rooms became available. The walk to the main ski area was much greater then the brochure indicated. A long walk to the town centre too. The staff however were enthusiastic in their... more

Stayed there on August 2006. Great hotel. Very good staff, very correct, familiar running. We were traveling with a 8 years old daughter and everything was great for her, because the staff are nice and they have playground for them. Also the sauna is free and very nice. It`s not right in the center of Bad Gastein, but it`s a... more

This is the second year that my brother and I have stayed at the Alpenblick in Bad Gastein for a short skiing holiday following our excellent stay last year. After 6 hours flat out skiing, coming back to an informal, friendly, highly efficiently run family hotel is very welcome It is comfortable, food is simple but good and plenty of... more
