Pros - excellent food - nice spa/pool area - views over the waterfall Cons - located next to the church -the bells at 7 am would wake the dead! - recption staff poor English (better than my German!) - bedrooms very hot-even with the window open As a ski destination- the resort did not cater for the beginner and the... more

Sanotel hotel in Bad Gastein is composed from 2 separate establishments, one main with all 4 stars requiered appliances, and another wich is just an accomodation with no pool, bar, restaurant, so if you are planing to go to sauna or swiming pool a small trip from secondary location to main is requiered (approx 200m on the city streets).
