We stayed at the lofts (Alpenlofts) of this hotel three ladies with our four kids (all 13). Unexpectedly stylish. It was like a home. We preferred to have the buffet meals. All ingredients selected from local products, tasty, mostly organic. We started our days with flow yoga (English speaking instructor). There was not a single request that was rejected. I've... More

A very nice hotel with charm. I was there with a friend to have a relaxed week of skiing and spa indulgence. The hotel was filled with toddlers upon my arrival and it was impossible to hear yourself think. The children took over the entire hotel. Luckily these families left after 3 days and things became a lot calmer and... More

My wife and I spent four or five days with Haus Hirt recently and we were very impressed with the level of hospitality shown by all the staff. The owner was always there and she and her staff were warmly hospitable while still being professional in all our dealings. Even though everything is in German they did a daily English... More

We stayed for two nights which were absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautifully designed, very spacious, with a lovely library (though only few books are in English, the rest are in German). The view from the room is breathtaking, waking up in the morning with these amazing mountains in front of you and the Gastein valley beneath is gorgeous. The... More

Make sure you understand the concept of this hotel before booking! First of all, let me say that I appreciate the professional attitude of management and staff. They do their best to serve the customers and the place is a deserved success. The design and architecture are of exceptional taste. However, since there is not enough correct or plainly outright... My parents, my husband and our three year old child stayed at this hotel for three nights. We had one double room and one studio room. It started off great as the driver game to pick us up at the train platform of Bad Gastein station. As this hotel received great reviews, our expectation was high but it did not... More

All you need to know about a place is the way they deal with (minor) problems: The cell phone of the driver of the hotel's van broke just as our train was pulling into Bad Gastein. Instead of letting us wait 5 minutes at the train station, one of the receptionists took her private car to pick us up --... More

Haus Hirt is a delightful family-run 4-star hotel overlooking a beautiful valley that stretches below Bad Gastein. It is friendly, spotless, with added touches throughout not to mention the sauna, steam room and small indoor pool, nice cosy lounge and restaurant also with the view. Big windows from the floor level in the rooms take full advantage of the views,... More
