This is a beautiful old family home converted into a memorable place to stay in Nicaragua. Our room was spacious with a large modern bathroom. We were in the back of the hotel, our door opening onto a courtyard, so it was quiet. We could go right out for a dip in the cool waters of the pool. Service was... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a large colonial-style mansion that was built in 1904 for one of the wealthiest families in Granada. The restoration has been expertly executed. The original mahogany staircase is beautiful. You can read and relax on the expansive terraces surrounding the peaceful central courtyard and fountain. The pool is small, but lovely, and located in... More

Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries on the planet but Granada is definitely developed to attract foreign tourists. The Hotel Dario is a posh (relatively speaking) hotel with western-style comforts. Entering from street side, one is immediately taken in by the dark wood, the open courtyard with a small pool (available for swimming) and a waterfall. Two stories of... More

First time I was in Hotel Dario and no doubt I had a very pleased stay. From my room that has a balcony right in front La Calzada, I realised hoy much Granada has to offer. At the hotel, nice, cleaning and very friendly staff, Miss Frania Bodan, was an excellent hostess, very professional; food was amazing. It is proved that... More

Hotel Dario was such an elegant and amazing hotel with a beautiful courtyard and scenery. It went way beyond my expectations and I would go back if i could. Excellent service and the hotel itself has such a peaceful feeling.

My first visit to Nicaragua and we stayed a week at the Dario. Excellent location on Calle La Calzada. Incredible wait staff, comfortable amenities, great breakfast. Highly recommend staying there! There are several very nice restaurants within walking distance which is a big bonus.

This hotel is in a great location - but it has a bit of a downside. The street out front gets very busy and noisy but as long as you get a room to the back that should not be a problem. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The pool area can do with some updating -... More

I hosted a 4 day meeting at the hotel with a small group, which I have done at many venues over the past years. This hotel and its personnel were some of the best I have encountered. Frania the hostess was an incredible help to the group for the four days. Nubia the receptionist, along with Manuel who served our... More

A very nice and comfortable hotel located in the middle of town, close to everything you need. The service was nice even though they looked at me funny because of my tattoos, but innocent ignorance can be ignored. Very good service and nice people.

the five star hotel Dario has an equally wonderful restaurant! our group had dinner: the red snapper prepared on the grill was moist and not 'fishy'; I didn't have alcohol but substituted one of the fruit drinks -- melon -- instead: light and full of flavor -- not a smoothie, so not to worry about skipping dessert!! the flan is... HOTEL DARIO is situated in the historical center of Granada, on the famous La Calzada Street, and only 100 meters away from the central park, Hotel Darío is an elegant neoclassic building from the 19th century. The hotel offers guests a tranquil and private environment. The grounds include beautiful gardens, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, gym and business center. The Chocolate Coffee Shop is the in-house café at Hotel Darío. Visitors to the shop can enjoy the best coffee in the city of Granada, as well as a variety of other exotic drinks containing coffee and chocolate. Fresh fruit juices, smoothies, milkshakes, cocktails, and a wide selection of the best national and international beverages are also offered at the Chocolate Coffee Shop, in addition to casual bites including sandwiches, snacks, salads, light meals, and fine deserts.
