My husband and I stayed at the Plaza Colon for 1 night while in Granada, Nucaragua. The hotel was very nice & clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff professional. In terms of Nicaragua, this is a good choice for people who want to travel though still want a North American style stay - it would also be... More

Wonderful location across from the central park and near many attractions, restaurants, and bars. Locally owned (I was told it is the only major hotel still Nicaraguan-owned). The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was exceptional. I wish I had spent more than one night there.

Outstanding hotel that retains old world charm with outstanding service. Location cannot get any better. Book early to reserve a room that faces the cathedral. Lots of birds make it their home right in front of the hotel and it may be noisy for some but we loved it. The hardwood floors, high ceilings and excellent service cannot be beat.... More

We booked this hotel from our cell phones while traveling to Granada and were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is quaint, charming, romantic, a great value and in prime location. When traveling to Granada I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Very highly recommended!

Everything about Hotel Plaza Colon was outstanding. After booking our room, we requested an upgrade and ended up on the second floor in a room with a balcony and two beautiful rocking chairs overlooking the central park. The beauty of the room was in keeping with the beauty of the entire hotel. The center courtyard, the pool, the warm woodwork... More

After a terrible and overpriced stay at Ometepe we stayed just one night at La Placa Colone and we (girlfriend and myself) found it terrific. Locally owned and managed nice very historical boutique hotel. Big, very clean rooms with everything you need. Staff was super friendly and extremely helpful (we had some problems with the next door laundry). The breakfast... More

Decided to splurge for a few nights and this was an excellent choice. Super nice staff, outstanding breakfast by the pool, fantastic location and cozy colonial rooms. What's not to love. This has to be one of the best in the city. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

My girlfriend and I stayed here after a week long yoga retreat in Laguna de Apoyo. What a welcoming place, the hotel itself is beautiful and the location was perfect. The staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed in a quite room overlooking the pool, slept well, and enjoyed the air conditioning in the room! Worth the price five star... More

We spent 2 wonderful nights here and really did not want to leave. The location couldn't be any more perfect right on the main plaza so you can walk everywhere. The staff was so friendly and helpful and even called to book us an appointment for a massage at Pure. The pool was beautiful and had plenty of space/ chairs... More

We spent one night in the hotel in March and thought it was excellent. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the square and found it to be very comfortable. The birds were a little loud at dusk and dawn, but not a problem. We loved the inner courtyards, and breakfast was perfect beside the pool - probably the... More
