LOVE this place! I have stayed here twice and both times, it was great. The first time was with my husband, 2 month old daughter, and 78-year-old grandparents. There were great at accommodating all of the different ages. The second time was with my brother and sister-in-law who do not speak Spanish and, who we left to fend for themselves.... More

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. It did not matter where you looked it was very tastefully decorated. The furniture and surrounding vegetation beautifully matched the building. From upstairs one could see the volcano Mombacho. Apparently everybody wanted to be there for, the hotel was full. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were good, and the room... My wife and I splurged ($70 including tax, breakfast and no fee for credit card) at this hotel for 4 nights after staying in fairly average rooms elsewhere in Nica to save money. It is by far the best place we've stayed - central, great staff, unbelievably good and generous breakfast and lovely rooms with AC, fan and hot showers... More

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. I had business in Managua and commuted from Granada. The hotel is very nice. A little off the main square, but very centrally located. Owners and staff were excellent. The breakfast was great and we got a lot of good recommendations on other places to eat. The patio common area is... More

Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and really loved it! It's decor is discreet, understated and stylish and the hotel really benefits from a great location, being just one street away from the main drag for restaurants in the wonderful town of Granada (despite this proximity to the main area of activity the hotel is... I had the pleasure of staying at Patio del Malinche for 14 nights and I enjoyed every moment of it. It is very well situated on a quiet street, a few minutes walk from Central Park and 1 block from 'La Calzada' where you find numerous restaurants and bars. The owners Ramon and Lidia are very detail oriented and will... More

I loved this hotel. The owners are very nice and it is like a typical Spanish hacienda. The hot water works and the rooms are nice, but small. The pool is super clean and the breakfasts are awesome, especially the fruit plate. It is also on a quieter street so at night you can sleep well. It is very close... More

We loved the hotel :) it is a boutique property and perfectly located in Granada. The warm welcome by the owners and staff makes you feel home. It is quiet and relaxing place; it is very clean and we loved the grounds!! The breakfast options are quite nice and you can get the feeling everything is homemade, which is great!!... More

Stayed here as we passed through Granada again on our trip home. Beautiful space! Two great “patios” to relax with hammock, wifi, computer setup. Quiet pool with bar and great mojito. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable. Good shower (hot water!). Slight hiccup with AC that took a few hours to fix – but they worked diligently and... More

My husband and I recently returned from a 6 day trip to Granada. We chose the Patio del Malinche after reading all the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor. I must agree with previous reviews, this hotel was just perfect for what we were looking for ! We happened to be in Granada over Semana Santa, and although the rest of the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
