We spent 4 wonderful days at the Casa San Francisco. I cannot say enough good things about it. The owners/managers were so very accommodating and kind. It's location is perfect, close to the main zocalo on a quiet side street. Brreakfast was included in the room cost and cooked to order. For lunch one day I ordered a Cobb Salad... more

I just returned from a trip to Nicaragua as a solo traveler. Casa San Francisco was one of the highlights of my trip. It has a beautiful court yard, refreshing pool, clean rooms and a very friendly staff. I ended up using it as a base in the country and returned three times during my month long Nicaraguan adventure. more

This hotel has EVERYTHING that you could ask for. Good restaurant, warm and darling staff, run and coke, a cool pool, and a pass to the best gym in town. The staff was so helpful with getting everything we could possibly need, a carriage ride, a ride to/from the airport and local life. more

Casa San Francisco is a beautiful hotel, charmingly decorated, clean, safe, and ideally located within a 5 minute walk of the Parque Central but not on a touristy street. The owner and staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, providing advice and personalized tours to suit our needs. more

From the warm welcome we received entering Casa San Francisco to the hearty "Hasta Luego" when we departed, our too short stay was delightful. The bilingual staff all became immediate friends, perhaps because they were all treated as equals having separate yet important responsibilites . Set in a series of courtyards, the hotel features large rooms simply but well furnished,... more

I stayed at Casa San Francisco off and on during my two week's of travels in Nicaragua in September. Every time I returned, it was like coming home. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant is great and Octavio has mastered some delicious vegetarian dishes (if you are there for a few days, ask about his papaya soup). I cannot express... more

After a long day on the road returning from Pochomil, we wound up staying at Casa for a night. We had a great lunch at the bar, i then realized that there was a huge soccer match on (Argentina vs. Brazil) and the owner of the restaurant (who appeared on the Travel Channel on Bizarre Foods with Andrew) went home... more

Being from Hawaii I know what Aloha is and means and Casa San Francisco has it. If there is such a thing as a "Fair Trade Hotel" this is it. The Nica. staff loves the hotel and is passionate about it and they share those feelings with the guest. The resturant is the best in town and the location offers... more

My wife and I stayed at Casa san Francisco just a night as we were leaving Nicaragua. Would definitely stay there again. A boutique type hotel, very beautiful (relatively inexpensive), with staff that was quite friendly and helpful. A nice location because it's two or three blocks from busiest part of Granada. Food at restaurant and bar surprisingly good. more

I have been to Casa San Francisco three times now for a total of 30 nights with a school group of 10 students. If you want a luxury hotel this is not the spot for you. If, however, you can go with the flow--and if you don't get hot water once in awhile it isn't the end of the world... more
