Absolutely fabulous!!! Casa Xanadu is as lavish, comfortable and accommodating as it appears. The rooms are grandiose and comfortable with 2 story ceilings, soft, plush beds and couches with more than enough room for everyone. Every suite is designed uniquely with rich luxurious colors and decorations. You will feel right at home with an exotic twist. Our group stayed 4... More

Our group stayed 4 nights at Casa Xanadu, and we could not have asked for a better experience! Two of us each stayed in the Kublai Khan and Shambala suites, which were spacious yet cozy. All rooms are loft-style with vaulted 25' ceilings and a skylight along with air-conditioning and fans. The bathrooms are large with separate sitting areas and... More

This review is long overdue: we stayed in Casa Xanadu for 10 days back in April/May 2014. It was the last leg for of our 3 month long trip through Mexico and Central America, and I can say that Casa Xanadu was the best place we stayed on the whole trip. Staff, Douglas (the owner), Marlene (business manager) create atmosphere... More

Highly highly recommended!! We spent 4 nights at Casa Xanadu and loved every moment of it. We initially tried to book the large master for four adults, but ended up with two rooms, two adults per room which was plenty. Each room is very spacious with air-conditioning and the two we chose have jacuzzi bathtubs. Our room could have fit... More

My family (myself, wife and 3 kids, 3, 5, 7) stayed here for 6 nights. I was great. The location was super convenient to everything in town. Breakfast was great. The pool was fun. Beautiful place. The only real issue was the A/C freezing up a time or 2. Every still, the temperature was manageable.

I spent one week at Casa Xanadu in the Convento Suite and it was AMAZING. The Convento Suite has three rooms, one of which has no A/C (but has three fans), and two bathrooms. Marlene, the manager, was a great resource when we had questions about what to do around town and where to eat. She was very professional, helpful,... More

The details are in the other reviews; there's not a lot to add. The grounds and the room are spacious, comfortable, handsome and immaculate. Douglas, Marlene, Maria and Jenifer are simply the best. You really do feel like you're staying in a guest house and not a hotel. Instead of rehashing the details let me illustrate the level of service:... More

Casa Xanadu is an alternative to hotels which traditionally are smaller and accommodate only two persons. Our suites are very large with ceilings that tower some 26 feet above and are designed to accommodate two to four persons per suite. Each suite has a king or queen size bed plus two twin beds. except for the Kublai Khan. Suites Convento,... More

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying at Casa Xanadu! It was much more than I thought it could be based on other travels to Central America (this place had hot water, air conditioner, wifi, and a very comfortable bed). The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance to all the churches and restaurants... More

We stayed here on a family vacation and couldn't have asked for a better rest stop. The entire staff was notably kind and helpful and really made the experience wonderful. The pool area, main hallway, and rooms were serene and lovely.
