When I initially booked Xanadu I was amazed at the speed with which the hotel staff (Marlene) contacted me with confirmation. Within minutes of my email I received a phone call reviewing my needs. When I later responded to Marlene saying how impressed I was, her response is: "You are special to us and you deserve special service." That pretty... More

We recently spent a week at Casa Xanadu, and it surpassed our wildest dreams! The Casa is a converted colonial style home, it is beautifully built and decorated with high quality finishes. You feel like you are living in a palace. The staff is not only efficient and talented, they are a pleasure to be around...the smiles are genuine. We... More

Our room was truly a spectacular colonial experience, with tall ceilings, nice bed, beautiful art, jacuzzi tub, very clean room, strong A/C, large flat-screen TV. On top of that, it was very quiet--the quietest room we've ever had in Nicaragua. There are only 5 rooms in this hotel, so not too many people. The pool was nice to cool off,... More

This was the perfect place for my large family to stay while in Granada. The rooms are huge, clean and well-appointed. In fact, the pictures here really don't do it justice, as it's a very pretty little haven hidden in the city. I wish we could have stayed there longer and used it as our home base for the whole... Casa Xanadu was the perfect choice. I traveled to Granada with my family and friends. The staff of Xanadu was amazing! Marlene helped us arrange transportation for us. Maria cooked for us the best breakfast ever and always with a smile. Thank you so much Maria for everything. The rooms/house were all beautiful, big and wonderfully decorated. We were impressed... I must thank all of our guests for their wonderful comments on their stay at Casa Xanadu. What stands out are their comments on Xanad's staff who cares for our guests so well that they refer to them each by name. Wow! I can't remember a place I've stayed where I remember anyone by name. More

We enjoy picking up our guests at the airport! It's so nice if you arrive in a country where you don't speak the language and don't much know where you are and then find Marlene standing there at the exit with a card featuring your name on it, ready to take you home. And then in the morning awaken to... More

We like to think we are the best hotel ever but we know for sure to never stop trying to be better. Your comments on the things that stand out are very balanced between the service and the ambience of Casa Xanadu. I take responsibility for the ambience but my staff is entirely responsible for the service. I thank you... More

Casa Xanadu was like our own private paradise in Granada Nicaragua. Our own private place with wonderful people during the day to provide wonderful home cooked fresh breakfast, and service for the room. They all knew us by name, and we they. It didn't matter what they were doing, if we needed something or just wanted to chat, they stopped... More

Everyone likes to hear they are doing great and we at Xanadu are no exception. When your message was read to the Spanish speaking staff they were of course very pleased that their selfless efforts to help were genuinely appreciated. It really makes them happy to come to work. And me too! Thank you. More

Casa Xanadu is a great place, the staff is truly what makes this place great. Marlene is the manager she goes out of her way to make sure you are taken care of from beginning to end. Start by requesting an airport pick up. Xanadu is located in the heart of colonial Granada's historic district less than an hour away. Take a short walk to restaurants, churches, museums and night life. By day take one of our many tours to climb Mombacho, visit the zip line, take a boat trip around the islands on Lake Nicaragua, or a city tour by horse and buggy, shopping at Masaya's arts and crafts market, or a day kayaking at nearby Laguna de Apoyo's crater lake. Come home to find your laundry has been washed, ironed and folded. Have a cold beer, a glass of wine or just some ice water please! Relax in the evening dining in our garden patio by the pool in the cool evening air. Then retire to your air conditioned suite and enjoy a deep rewarding sleep on a pillow top mattress & wake up to a gourmet breakfast in the garden with a tropical fruit smoothie. Don't even think about it. Book it now. There's nothing else like Xanadu. ... more   less
