The title of this review comes from the hostel handbook, and it really did live up to that slogan. Our host Gerry was extremely welcoming, got us settled right in and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. He also arranged a taxi to take us to the airport for our flight home. The location of the hostel is... More

My husband and I are living in Managua for a few months and plan to be escaping to Granada on some weekends for a break from the city, so we were happy to stumble upon this little hotel less than a block away from the main cathedral and town square. Run by an Irish couple, the hotel has rooms in... More

My husband and I booked for three nights and we stayed for five! Gerry is a wonderful host...always willing to help organize tours, provide advice and help out. He makes you feel at home...and that is why we stayed the extra days...it felt like home. Rooms are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, it is in a great location...just down the... More

We stayed 2 nights here and for the price it was good value. Gerry can answer your questions and having a fridge for my beer and a place to cook if you feel like it was great! It sounds like the rooms upstairs are maybe a little nicer? We stayed on the ground floor and the room was okay. Beds... More

We stayed 3 nights here and would have extended had Gerry had room. It is a great place, with free coffee/tea and water. The pool is clean and the whole property is really well looked after. The room we stayed in was fantastic.

We really enjoyed the location, the pool, and the other travelers. We will definitely be back. Gerry was super helpful with any questions we had. It's a terrific place to stay in a great Nicaraguan city to visit.

Great location, and our double room was clean and tidy. Lovely courtyard area, and freshly brewed coffee every morning (we didn't use the kitchen, but it looked like it had everything that would be needed). Very good info from Gerry on what to do in and around Granada. We used the bikes, and they got us around town for the... More

M<y husband and I usually end up staying at casa del Agua when we go off Ometepe Island every couple of months. It is very homy, has great location, clean and the rooms are outfitted with all you need for a comfortable stay - warm water, big TV, WIFI, coffee & tea - you can even cook in the kitchen... More

There's not one bad thing about this place. We spent two nights here (we would have stayed longer but they were closing for repairs) and it was perfect. Gerry was great- we had just arrived in Granada and didn't know much about the town. He gave us a map and told us all the spots to go. The next day... More

Perfect location near the main square, nice rooms, clean and beautiful pool area / kitchen, cold beers available, as well as read coffee and free water. superb and down-to-earth owner. It might be the best value in town. Highly recommended.
