Casa del Agua was originally recommended to me by an Irish friend who had stayed there previously. I stayed for four nights at the start of August. On arrival, Gerry was very welcoming. He gave a map and offered advice on what to do and where to go within the area. He recommended excellent restaurants and we took his advice... More

We stayed at Casa del Agua for two nights with another couple. We each had rooms at the front of the house and could leave window open all night and was not too noisy. We did not opt for a/c, and room was very warm but tolerable. Our host Gerry, was very helpful and had a great sense of humor.... More

My passion is to travel. Nicaragua is not only amazingly beautiful and diverse.,One of my favorite cities is Granada, Nicaragua. . I was extremely lucky to have found Casa del Aqua. A small hotel near the main plaza. It was the only place I truly felt at home. Jerry, the owner, goes out of his way to be so helpful... More

Casa del Agua is a very sweet intimate hotel... few rooms and a central kitchen if you feel like cooking and a small pool. Close to central park, but not noisey. This hotel is a great value...i'm not sure you could find a better price in town. Free bike rentals, and Gerry the owner, can give you loads of information... More

Gerry was more than helpful during our short stay in Granada. He gave unfiltered advise about the city, people & of course, the hotel. This was after we showed up at the hotel quite late in the evening. Of course we had to leave very early in the morning. When we went downstairs with our bags, he had a full... More

I'm quite confused about all these positive reviews of Casa del Agua. My boyfriend and I stopped by on our vacation through Nicaragua and found the rooms to be filthy and the swimming pool to be the size of a bathtub. This place also smelled of chemicals while the noise from the traffic outside was astounding. We had one quick... More

Thank you for your review. We do hope this response will be helpful in clearing up your confusion. Your boyfriend & you didn't "stop by" as you had a reservation or "committed stay", with us for 2 nights. We note from reading your profile that your favorite place to stay was at Tribal. Please note that their pool was constructed... More

Stayed at casa del agua for one night with my little brother. Gerald, the owner was very communicative prior to our arrival. Communal kitchen was great. Room was clean and we sprung for a/c which was nice. Wifi was acting up a little but seemed like a temporary problem that was being fixed. Gerald also helped us set up a... More

We stayer here for 4 nights. Located in walking distance to virtually everything, CDA is perfect place for mid-range travelers looking for clean and very fairly priced accomodation in Granada. Gerry has been cutting costs (while still providing free coffee and water) so that the rooms are cheap compared to what you get (which is a great value option). All... More

Fantastic little hotel right in the heart of Granada with real character to the place. It's family run by the host Gerry who provides good information on tours, transport, restaurants and money exchange. Free coffee and water all day, which is an added bonus and a nice start to the day. The rooms are clean and spacious, complete with tv... More

We are delighted to have discovered Casa del Agua and stayed there twice during our recent vacation in Nicaragua. Gerry is a great host and helps you get orinentated in this beautiful city, he also recommended some great tours of the lakes and local volcanoes. The house is close to the main square beside the cathedral and has good rooms... More
