I normally do not leave hotels reviews but after my stay at this hotel I felt compelled. This was my third time to Nicaragua. The first two times were with a missionary group from my church. So I was looking forward to a trip for a little R&R. Needless to say I got no rest and very little relaxation. Check... More

Thank you for your review and I apologize for you not having the Nicaragua experience you desired. I must, however, correct some of your misperceptions. Although the building is old, all of the rooms, plumbing, and electricity is new. Many rooms have four foot thick adobe walls. I am sorry that you considered the artful design tacky. In fact, the... Hotel: The Good: free internet thru the hotel and the speed was very fast. The pool was nice and the breakfast was very good. The breakfast has 2 juices and coffee also 3 choices of fruit and choice of eggs.waffles, panckakes, or french toast. The hotel is located 1 block from the central square and is in a good location. The... More

When guests are dissatisfied, my initial reaction is to apologize. However, in this case, the guest has misstated so many material facts, even to the point of posting misleading pictures, that I must question the guest's motivation. Suffice it to say that we would gladly assist any guest who wants to leave as soon as they see their room, as... More

This boutique hotel has some charms. A great location, interesting colonial mansion, and spa services. It lacks coherent execution, amenities, and customer service. Some of the rooms are poorly ventilated and lit, requiring A/C to run. Electrical installation a nightmare. Furnishings from a bad acid trip. If you don;t mind a staff that is not involved in the guest experience... More

I'm sorry you seem to have not enjoyed your experience at Hotel Spa Granada as much as most of our other guests, and I am baffled about how you missed key elements of the hotel. You seem to have missed that we have the largest swimming pool in the historic districtt of Granada. Also, you seem to have missed that... More

We just spent 4 nights in this hotel and were delighted. My husband and I had one room and my daughter and partner had another. Both rooms were considered "deluxe" at $95/night. My daughter and partner weren't happy with the first room they got, thought it was too pink - "no problem", they got it changed. We needed to arrive... More

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel because of its inclusion in Budget Traveler's best boutique hotels. In retrospect, we wonder if the writer for this magazine actually visited the hotel because there were a number of things we found surprisingly disappointing during our stay. (1) The deluxe room we paid for was bizarre and in a terrible location. For... More

Beautifully restored Colonial Mansion with garden courtyards and huge pool. The artsy furniture made us feel like we were living in a gallery. Really enjoyed how far your money goes in this charming city. It was great having drinks and "watermelon-cucumber towers" by the pool. Massages and breakfasts were also nice treat. We'll try to visit again every winter.

Have been at Hotel Spa Granada for two weeks, and have two weeks more. Will not want to leave. The staff is special...all of them. Love the hotel dog(s). Have made so many new friends with the other guests and the staff. The gals who clean my room spoil me...and help me with my Spanish. Wish I could transport them... More

Pros: Great Courtyard, breakfast, fun rooms, pool is beautiful, fun drinks and food, great spa, the list goes on and on. Cons: Service was a little slow at check in/check out. The bar service was a little slow (but that's forgivable since you're lounging by the pool.

We spent 4 nights here in a deluxe room, which had been recommended by another TripAdvisor reviewer. I think upgrading to a deluxe room was worth the extra money, our room was very large, comfortable, and overlooked the second courtyard. The only complaint I had was that although the bathroom was very nicely done with murals painted on the walls,... More

Hotel Spa Granada is everything I wanted in a boutique hotel!! The place was previously a colonial mansion, so you can imagine how beautiful it was fitted with multiple courtyards, archways and columns, and a gorgeous pool! The staff are all SUPER friendly and informative. When you wake up, there's a full breakfast spread with fresh fruits, homeade yogurt and... More
