The hotel is basic but definitely met what we were looking for which was an inexpensive place to spend our night. And it has the advantage of being relatively close to the city center but was quiet. The disappointing part was the open-air courtyard. The tables and chairs were dirty. By the nature of an outdoor area, I guess you... More

We had a room upstairs which overlooked the garden court yard. Such a nice colonial setting. Staff don't speak English but we got there. Only a 5-7 min walk to park central. You'll want to be out/away from the hustle (trust me) and you'll still be within a stone throw if you want to be amongst it at some stage.

Casa Antigua was recommended to us by our favourite hotel in Leon. I can definitely recommend it for people who are looking for good accommodation at a really good price. This colonial home converted to hotel has a very large central courtyard that is very comfortable. Our 2 rooms were great. We had everything we needed: A/C, good beds, WIFI,... More

We really enjoyed our stay in casa Antigua. It might be a bit difficult to find as the sign is small and the doors might be closed even if the hotel is open. But it is a good place to stay far away of party animals even if at walking distance from main Granada attractions. Staff is great, they booked... More

We booked a trip to Granada at the last minute...choice was limited but Casa Antigua offered a three/four bed room with private bathroom so we took it. We could not have done better - and I have stayed in hotels in Granada before. The atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and friendly from the moment of our late arrival; the... More

We'd definitely recommend this beautiful old colonial hotel to anyone - it was one of our favourite places to stay in 3 weeks of travelling. The central courtyard, with pot plants and quirky furniture, was a real oasis of calm, but only a 5-10 min walk to the main attractions of Granada. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well managed... Such a beautiful little hotel... A few blocks away from the hustle and bustle on a quiet little street Casa Antigua is a lovely restored colonial house with a central garden/courtyard. Rooms are upstairs and are large, clean and quiet. Comfortable beds and cotton bed linen. Lovely large, clean bathrooms. Breakfast is $5 and a choice of 4-5. It was... More

This hotel is 1.5 blocks away from Merced Church, on the edge of the centre, just perfect. No noises from outside, only church bells. The family who runs this place is very nice and flexible. The price is a little bit high for what you get but yes, it's Granada... Included breakfast was very litle, but for a litle extra... More

For a recent trip to Nicaragua, our first stop was in Granada, before heading to Isla Ometepe. I had made reservations at a place where we stayed previously, but when we arrived, they were full and the folks made arrangements for us to stay at Casa Antigua. I was prepared to be disappointed, but we were pleased. Casa Antigua is... More

I stayed in Hotel Casa Antigua during a trip too Nicaragua a couple years back. I have to say that I was extremely impressed! the staff was friendly and attentive, always willing to give tips/ideas for daytrips and also helping me execute them! The room my two friends and I shared was big and comfortable (and very affordable). It was... More
