We loved staying here. It was so nice to come back to Xalteva after a hot day in Granada and jump into the pool, which we mostly had to ourselves. The staff was so friendly and breakfast every morning was great. Thanks!

Xalteva is a perfect retreat in Granada. We love the city, though the center square and pedestrian mall can be very busy. So we appreciated being a 10 minute walk from this in a beautiful colonial style hotel. The pictures are accurate. The pool is beautiful. WiFi is amazing--every apartment has its own repeater. You breakfast in a lovely grape... More

Stayed July 2 - July 4th at this beautiful hotel. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport in Managua. Melissa, Ernesto and the entire crew were responsive to all our needs and answered all our questions about Granada. The rooms and grounds are kept in immaculate condition and the fresh fruit and coffee was a... More

I really enjoyed my stay here - from the quality of the hotel to the staff and the service provided. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk to Central Park and Calle La Calzada. It is located in a quite residential neighborhoold. When the hotel gate closes, it is even quitter. Overall, it is a... More

This hotel has a beautiful courtyard with a very nice pool, clean and pretty rooms, and hospitality was always there to give travel advice, call taxis, and help us with anything else we needed. Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit, juice, granola, yogurt, coffee, and bread. Location is a bit further from downtown: about 10 minute walk and $2 cab ride,... More

Thank you very much for your kind words. Due to guest reviews we are able to make changes and to improve. Seeing your positive remarks about our breakfast only confirms that we did the correct thing by improving our overall breakfast experience as well as the fresh, locally made granola and yogurt that are newer additions to our menu. Recently our family went to Granada for about 3 weeks of Spanish classes. As a family of 6 (four kids between the ages of 6 and 12) we were not eligible for a "home stay" through the Spanish school and we were certainly not looking for a hotel that would require us to eat out 3 meals a day for... We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It was an honor to host you while you learned Spanish....and you learned so well and your children took many opportunities to practice with staff members. I do not have words to describe how we all felt to receive such a wonderful cake. You are truly special people and we... More

Hotel Xalteva in Granada, Nicaragua, is a gem! Manager Melissa and her team devote themselves to their guests' comfort. It's a quiet, clean, safe, charming colonial-style hotel a bit away from the hubbub of the center of town. I stayed for 7 nights and I have only compliments for the hotel and gratitude for the staff!

I stayed here for just two nights in late March. Hotel arranged a driver to pick us up from the Managua airport. Room was clean and charming, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the pool and surrounding area are gorgeous - we loved reading under the pergola and cooling off in the pool. Definitely recommend!

Melissa and her staff are fantastic! Everything was taken care of for us. Everything was clean, safe, and friendly. What more can you ask for? Hotel Xalteva is beautiful, our trip was too short and we look forward to visiting again, hopefully soon!

To begin, My hubby and I were on our baby moon in Nicaragua to the dismay of a number of Americans we happen to know. I would like to stress that 100% of these particular Americans who were warning us against Nicaragua had never, NEVER been there. That said, with strong convictions but a bit more nervously... Our search for... More
