Carl and Karolina are what make this a great place to stay! As mentioned previously, the hotel/B&B is about mile out of the center of town. However, Carl made himself or his brother in law available to drive us into town. A few times, he made the trip just for us. He picked us up where the bus dropped us... More

The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen is available for use 24h.Owners provided transportation to and from the airport. Also they provided a trip to the coast and to the center of Granada. Carl gave me many tips on visiting Nicaragua short term or long term.He also introduced me to Americans living in Granada More

For shorter stays excellent .For Breakfastlovers like me ,I missed my morningcoffee and toast .My room was upstairs and nice and bright mit nice view. There are 2 Rooms downstairs to let you cook and make your own coffee. Good size, but a little noisy .I was staying for 2 months and was the only guest .I travel alone and prefer... More

My husband and I are long-term tourists in Costa Rica and we decided to go to Granada to renew our tourist visas. I found Dolphin Guest House online in the price range we were looking for and sent an email inquiry about reservations. I received very timely and helpful responses from Karolina, one of the hotel owners. My husband and... More

This is a pleasant guest house a kilometer or so outside the main town of Granada, near enough to be handy, far enough to avoid the noise etc at night. There is a nice pool and the rooms are clean and airy. The real pleasure of staying here are the owners and staff. Carl is a charming, softly-spoken New Englander... More

Lovely property and rooms. Both hosts and staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. Immaculately clean. Super pool. Very quiet and private. Not in town which was a plus for us. Hosts always willing to "take us to town, or pick up whatever we needed. Good to excellent value More

My 20 year old son and I came up to Granada by bus from Costa Rica in mid- November and had booked at the Dolphin because of the good reviews. We liked the small part of the country that we toured, but Carl and Carolina gave us an insight into Nicaragua that we would never have had staying at a... More

We decided to base ourselves in the city of Grenada for our three-week trip. The Dolphin Guest House, located a few minutes outside the colonial heart of the city, turned out to be a gem. The light, the birdsong, amazing gardens and pastoral setting were very relaxing. Our very large room was one of two on the first floor, adjacent... More
