It is not made clear when booking that the cheaper, "hillside" rooms are actually across the road in an old, dumpy hotel. We fell for this. The room was only $35 US but it was terrible - a shabby room with a broken toilet and a terrible odour. More

This was by far the best resort we stayed at on Koh Chang and Koh Mak. The rooms are fantastically designed, very clean and stylish and have excellent views.
